Abstract

The exhaust gas system has two gas lines (1, 2) fitted successively in the gas flow direction (3). The one closer to the engine has an end region which maintains a gap (4) between it and the larger-diameter end region of the second gas line where it projects into it. This acts as a diffuser diaphragm with flow cross section continuously increasing in the gas flow direction.
