Abstract

A stand for drying washing consists of a folding support (2) with four legs (2b, 3b) joined at their lower ends by crosspieces (2a, 3a) and hinged together at their upper ends, an intermediate rack (15) which acts as a spacer between the legs and two upper racks (18, 19) which are held in a raised horizontal position by stays (23, 30). The stays are pivoted by their lower ends to the intermediate rack, which is able to slide along the legs of the stand, and have their upper ends hooked to cross-wires (20, 21) on the upper racks. The inner ends of the two upper racks are pivoted to a tube (12) connecting the hinged couplings which join the upper ends of the legs.
