Abstract

The moisture absorber consists of a container (12) to receive the extracted liquid (14), and a charge of a hygroscopic product (32) in a compartment (30) which has at least one wall (34a, 34b) which is permeable to air and moisture. The compartment (30) is located inside a support (22) which is fitted over the top of the container, has a mesh side wall (24) and is open towards the top of the container. The compartment is suspended from the upper wall (28) of the support, where it is held in place by retaining elements (40, 29a). The dimensions of the compartment's top (38) are greater than those of the upper wall's aperture, which has a recessed rim (40) to receive it.
