Abstract

A filter material which is impregnated with an amphiphilic substance or with a hydrophilic substance and a hydrophobic substance in order to control its wettability with water and its water absorbency. Independent claims are also included for (a) tea bags made with this filter material; (b) a process for the production of filter material in which the material is treated with substance(s) as above to control its wettability and water absorbency.
