Abstract

The post has a fastening shoe (12), which can be used at its top or bottom, and which has a baseplate with at least two rails (21) extending from it. The rails each have a receptacle for a rod (11) which runs along the post, and for a shaped metal sheet which encloses the rod. Each rail also has a support (23) which projects laterally from one of its longitudinal sides, and a limb (18) on the sheet can rest on this. The frames of cladding elements (15) can be tensioned between these limbs and the limbs (27) of a second shaped metal sheet (26), which is fastened to the rod. The rod may be in the form of a rectangular tube.
