Abstract
Automatic non contact identification of moving objects involves the transmission of an HF signal ÄfoÜ by an interrogation unit and this is received by a transponder mounted on the object. The signal acts as a carrier for a stored identification signal ÄIDSIGÜ and this is returned Äfo'Ü and is transferred via the HF stage to the evaluation unit Ä20Ü. Built into the transponder is a standard time receiver Ä33Ü that outputs a time signal component that is combined with the stored identification component and also with an additional identification code ÄKIDÜ. This forms the transmitted code that is protected against misuse and prevents repeated generation of the signal. <IMAGE>
