Abstract

Each core (2) of the cable (1) is connected electrically to a pin (11) of the plug by way of a terminal block (7) and a fastening element (8) with cut-and-grip connection tags (10). The pins are accessible from outside via an opening (35). The wire braid forming the screen (3) is joined to an external earth connection by a ring (12) of pref. highly conductive material slid over the end of the cable sheath (4) and laid ina circumferential groove (16.1) when the plug is closed. This arrangement provides strains relief and solderless connection for charge dissipation.
