Abstract

1. A process for the production of a tub-like container made from board or a similar material by folding parts of a flat blank, at least approximately the whole length of all the adjacent sections of which are joined together, the adjacent sections having pre-creased folding lines and the base being shaped in a forming unit with the help of a forming die, wherein the flat or almost flat board blank (1, 100) is fed into the forming unit (which is designed as a forming shaft (201), is pressed down through the forming shaft by the die (202), which folds the blank along the precreased folding lines, and when the forming operation has been completed is pushed into a holding device (205), which is located below the forming shaft (201), which stops the folded container from unfolding and in which the container is transported to a filling station (206) and then to a lid application unit (207), where a hooded lid (208) is put on the container.
