Abstract

A depilatory apparatus for removing body hair (850) on the human body is described, in which at least one erection element (801) is provided, which is mounted rotatably in the rotating cylinder (4) of the depilatory apparatus. In this case, the direction of rotation of the erection element (801) is directed counter to the direction of rotation of the rotating cylinder. As a result, in particular those body hairs (850) which are pressed tightly against the skin of the user due to corresponding growth or due to the rotary movement of the rotating cylinder (4) are reliably erected again.
