Abstract

Fibre-reinforced gypsum panel made up of at least one layer of fibre-reinforced gypsum in which the cellulose fibres are dispersed and which is optionally used in combination with other layers with identical or different physicochemical characteristics, this layer of fibre-reinforced gypsum being characterised in that its density is moderate, even in the absence of lightening materials and in that the fibres dispersed in the said layer are preferentially oriented in the lengthwise direction of the panel so that the flexural breaking strength of the layer in the lengthwise direction is higher than the flexural breaking strength in the transverse direction of the layer.
