Abstract
An additive for gasoline petroleum fuel comprises an oil soluble polyolefin polyamine containing at least one olefinic polymer chain as a first component and a polymer of a C2 to C6 monoolefin, said polymer having a number average molecular weight of up to 500, as a second component. In use of fuel containing the additive in a spark ignition internal combustion engine, detergency is provided and engine deposits, e.g. in the combustion chamber, and valve sticking are reduced.
