Abstract

The invention relates to a vending system, in which is arranged in a space (6) a compartment unit (1) with a predetermined number of compartments (2), each having a door (4) lockable by a locking device, and with a computing unit (3). The computing unit (3) is assigned a stock device (40) having at least one memory device (42, 49), in which word and/or picture information on the products stocked in specific compartments (2) can be stored. Compartment numbers of the compartments (2) containing the corresponding products and prices of these products can be assigned to the word and/or picture information. To reserve a compartment (2), a stock number assigned to a word and/or picture information item and an information item for identifying a customer can be communicated to the stock device (40) by means of an input device (43, 47).
