Abstract

The invention relates to a delivery device for running yarns, having a rotationally fixed storage drum (4), to which the yarn (F) can be fed from the rear by means of a yarn guide (5) rotating in one direction of rotation or the other and from which the yarn (F) can be drawn off overhead, said storage drum (4) being assigned webs (26) which serve for transporting the laid-on yarn turns towards the head end and which, irrespective of the direction of rotation of the yarn guide (5), always ensure a transport towards the head end of the storage body. For the purpose of achieving the best possible mode of operation, the invention proposes that the adjustment for adaptation to the direction of rotation of the yarn guide (5) results automatically from the driving force of the yarn-guide drive shaft (3). <IMAGE>
