Abstract
The apparatus has a pressing mould (11-13,36) with a plurality of concentric stamp parts (54;55;56) which project into an interior mould (13) and which are individually and resiliently supported until rigid support has been achieved in a frame (10) which is arranged in a pressbody and which holds the various parts (11-13, 36) of the pressing mould such that they can be displaced relative to one another. So that the concentric stamp parts (54;55;56) can be resiliently supported in a structural member (16;29) which is releasably fastened in the aforementioned frame (10), hydraulic or pneumatic cylinders are arranged which can be loaded in a controlled fashion and have throttled outlets, plates (44;48;52) being screwed onto the piston rods of the said cylinders, the concentric stamp parts (54;55;56) being releasably fastened on the said plates (44;48;52), one stamp part (54;55) in each case having a smaller diameter and/or its plate projecting through the plate (48;52) of a stamp part (55;56) having a larger diameter, through a recess in the latter plate (48;52). This approach reduces the amount of work and time required for conversion to another pressing mould. When the pressing mould is to be changed, the releasably fastened structural member is removed from the frame and can then be converted very quickly and easily, by simply unscrewing the plates from the piston rods and putting them back again when they have been provided with other stamp parts. <IMAGE>
