Abstract

A circular weaving machine comprises a continuous running- ring structure 10 and a shuttle 20 sliding along the running- ring structure 10. The running-ring structure 10 has an upper annular plate 11, a lower annular plate 12 and a bar mechanism which is inserted between the upper and the lower annular plate 11, 12. The bar mechanism has a row of outer- guide bar units 13, which connect the upper and lower annular plates 11, 12 to one another, and a row of inner- guide bar units 14, aligned with one another and radially with the outer-guide bar units 13, in order to define between them a boundary space 15. Each of the inner-guide bar units 14 has an upper inner bar portion fastened to the upper annular plate 11 and a lower inner bar portion fastened to the lower annular plate 12, in order to delimit a receiving space 141 between the upper and the lower inner bar portion. The shuttle 20 has a shuttle body, a horizontal guide plate 241 extending outwards from the shuttle body through the receiving spaces 141 of the inner-guide bar units 14, a vertical guide plate 242 which is fastened to a radially outer end of the horizontal guide plate 241, and two sliding bodies 25 which are connected respectively to an upper and a lower portion of the vertical guide plate 242. The upper annular plate 11 has a removable portion 16 which makes it possible to insert the shuttle 20 into the boundary space 15. <IMAGE>
