Process for conveying fine-grained material using compressed air.
The invention relates to a method for conveying fine-grained material, in particular coal dust, with the interposition of one or more intermediate bunkers, a compressed air stream supplying the material to a bunker and another compressed air stream conveying the material from the bunker. The invention consists in the fact that the compressed air supplying the bunker is fed to the material as exhaust air after expansion has taken place in the bunker, directly to the compressed air stream conveying the material further.
As a result, especially when feeding pulverized coal firing systems, a significant advantage is achieved in that the dust-fine coal particles contained in the exhaust air of the supplying compressed air flow are conveyed on together with the coarser particles and thus made usable in a particularly effective way without the dust-free parts being filtered off or need to be separated from the exhaust air by sighting, as has been done so far. The exhaust air expanded in the bunker is expediently fed to the second compressed air stream only after it has left the compressed air generator in order to prevent contamination or wear and tear of the inner parts of the compressed air generator with coal dust.
A conveyor system suitable for the process forming the subject of the invention is illustrated in one embodiment in the drawing, for example.
The goods to be conveyed are fed from the main bunker a by means of the conveying device b through a valve e to the high-pressure container d. After filling this container, the valve e is closed and the container d is pressurized by means of the air line e. The material air mixture emerging in the lower part of the container d is pressed into the secondary bunker g by means of the high pressure line f. There the air expands and drops the conveyed good particles, which are deposited in the bunker. The exhaust air is fed through the pipe D to the pipe m coming from the fan i, into which the material emptied from the secondary bunker g by the conveying device k also falls.
Through the air flow generated by the fan i, everything falling into the pipe m is conveyed further. It is in some cases, e.g. B. when conveying coal dust to the combustion chamber, useful, but not absolutely necessary, that the further conveyance of the goods from the secondary bunker by air of lower pressure (low pressure) takes place than the promotion from the main bunker or high-pressure container to the secondary bunker. Even if air at high pressure is used for the onward conveyance, the exhaust air from the secondary bunker can be combined with this air flow discharging the material, be it in the fan itself, be it at its air outlet or in the air duct branching off from it.
