   Es ist bereits   bekannt, flüchtige   Stoffe, wie Benzol, Benzin, Äther, Alkohol, Azeton usw., aus sie enthaltenden Gasgemischen, wie Koksofengas, Abgase von Kunstseidefabriken, Erdgase   usw.,   dadurch zu gewinnen, dass man diese Gase mit hydrierten Naphthalinkohlenwasserstoffen, wie Tetralin oder 
 EMI1.1 
 und die flüchtigen Stoffe durch Destillation unter   Rückgewinnung   des Waschmittels freimacht. 



   Der Gegenstand der vorliegenden Erfindung betrifft   ein Wasch-und Wiedergewinnungsverfahren   für solche Gase, wobei an Stelle der hydrierten Naphtalinkohlenwasserstoffe die Hydrierungsprodukte der Phenole, z. B. das unter der Bezeichnung Hexalin in den Handel gebrachte Hexahydrophenol, in gleicher Weise verwendet werden. 



   Diese Stoffe vereinigen infolge ihrer Konstitution die Eigenschaften der Naphtalinkohlenwasserstoffe   und   der Phenole und sind daher besonders dann geeignet, als Waschflüssigkeiten zu dienen, wenn es sich darum handelt, Gemische von   flüchtigen   Stoffen aus den sie enthaltenden Gasen auszuwaschen. 



  Ihre Verwendung empfiehlt sich daher in vielen Fällen, in denen man bisher mit einem Waschmittel nicht das Auslangen fand und entweder auf vollständige Rückgewinnung eines Bestandteiles verzichten musste oder aber zur Anwendung mehrerer Waschmittel gezwungen war.

   It is already known that volatile substances, such as benzene, gasoline, ether, alcohol, acetone, etc., from gas mixtures containing them, such as coke oven gas, exhaust gases from rayon factories, natural gases, etc., are obtained by treating these gases with hydrogenated naphthalene hydrocarbons, such as Tetralin or
