EMI1.1

Partial gas meter, in whose branch a gas meter and a pressure regulator are
EMI1.1
The application relates to those devices which are required when using partial gas meters in order to produce the same pressures or gas velocities in both lines and in which both lines are locally constricted.
In order to achieve a pressure loss in the main line that is similar to that caused by the presence of the meter in the branch line, a weight-loaded or spring-loaded flap is installed in the main line, the opening of which causes a pressure loss; But since it is impossible to produce the desired exact pressure equality with a simple loaded flap, according to the invention the force acting on the flap is selected from the outset so that the pressure loss caused by overcoming it is greater than that in the branch line the gas meter is created and the finer pressure regulation is left to a pressure regulator built into the branch line, which is influenced by the pressures in both lines.
Such a partial gas meter is shown in longitudinal section in the drawing. A considerably weaker line ib branches off from the main line "" 1, in which the partial gas meter 0 and a pressure regulator A are installed. Both the main and the branch line (Af, have throttled points; the throttle point of the branch line n is formed by its constricted mouth 2, which is located in the throttled point 1 of the main line M.
The speed at which the gas flows in the main line-M through the throttling point 1 must be the same as the outflow speed from the secondary line, since the ratio of the throttled to the full cross-sections is the same in both lines, the equality of the speeds in the constrictions achieved by equal pressures in the full cross-sections (12, 14) of the two pipelines. In order to achieve this equality of the flow rates, a throttle valve 20 is arranged in the main line in front of the constriction, which is by a spring or

the pressure drop caused by the same is greater than that caused by the gas meter ss in the branch line n.
The pressure regulator A supplements the size of the pressure drop caused by the gas meter 0 to that caused by the flap. It contains the valve t. which is controlled by the membrane a. The space 9 below the membrane is through the pipeline h
EMI1.3
Valve rod keeps balance.
If a fault occurs e.g. B. thereby a. that the pressure in. M exceeds that in 14, the membrane a is pressed downwards, whereby the valve t is opened a little more. until the pressures in both lines are equal again.
