Er besteht aus einem Tellerventilgehäuse A mit Mundstück i und Ansaugstutzen o und zwei Kugelsieben C und B.
Das Ventilgehäuse A enthält zwei Ventile, ein Druckventil k, welches die heilkräftige Luft in den Mund hineinführt, und einen Saugventil le1, welches die ausgeatmete Luft durch die Öffnungen m ins Freie treten, lässt.
An dem Ventilgehäuse ist ein Ansaugstutzen o angebracht, in welchen das kleine aufklappbare Kugelsieb C hineingesteckt werden kann. Dieses enthält das die Inhalationsflüssigkeit aufnehmende Fasermaterial d.
Um das kleine Kugelsieb ist konzentrisch das grosse aufklappbare Kugelsieb B angebracht, welches aus einem dampfdichten Halbkugelmantel a und dem Halbkugelsieb b zusammengesetzt ist. Es dient zur Aufnahme der die ätherischen Öle enthaltenden Heilkräuter bzw. zur Füllung des mit Heilflüssigkeiten getränkten Fasermaterials.
Will man nun diesen Kugelsiebinhalator in Verbindung mit einer der gebräuchlichen Wasserdampfinhalationen verwenden, so kann dies derart geschehen, dass man das Halbkugelsieb b mit einem dampfdichten Halbkugelmantel c umgibt, der vermittels eines eingelöteten Stutzens l mit der Dampfquelle in Verbindung steht.
Um die Temperatur des zu inhalierenden Dampfes regulieren zu können, dient ein mit einer Irisblende und mehreren Zugröhren versehener Brenner (Fig. 2).
Fig. 3 veranschaulicht die Irisblende. Sie setzt sich aus acht Platten zusammen, die in einen drehbaren Ring eingesetzt sind. Durch Vor-und Rückwärtsdrehen kann die Grösse der Öffnung reguliert werden.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE :
1. Kugelsiebinhalator zur Ausnutzung der in Heilkräutern enthaltenen ätherischen Öle oder der aus Heilkräutern gewonnenen Pflanzenheilstoffe, gekennzeichnet durch ein die Heilkräuter, bzw. mit deren Heilstoffen beladenes Fasermaterial aufnehmendes, aufklappbares Kugelsieb, an welches ein mit einem Mundstück und einem in das Kugelsieb hineinreichenden Ansaugstutzen versehenes Ventilgehäuse befestigt ist.
