   Die bekannten Verfahren, Rohanthracen mittels Kalihydrat von Karbazol zu befreien, sind im D. R. P. Nr. 178764 ausführlich besprochen und den älteren Verfahren dasjenige als das vorteilhafteste entgegengestellt, welches auf dem Schmelzen von Rohanthracen mit Ätzkali und darauf folgendem Abdestillieren des Anthracens im Vakuum beruht. 



   Allen diesen Verfahren, einschliesslich des Verfahrens des D. R. P. Nr.   I78764,   ist die Verwendung hoher Temperaturen gemeinsam. Das D. R.   P.   Nr. 111359 empfiehlt die Temperatur

   The known methods of removing carbazole from crude anthracene using potassium hydrate are discussed in detail in D.R.P.
