Process for the production of vessels with a reinforced bottom edge, such as cookware and the like, from sheet iron or sheet metal.
The invention consists in a method for producing sheet metal vessels with a reinforced bottom edge, according to which the bottom edge a (FIG. 3) of the vessel, in which the bottom is used in particular, is obtained in a simple manner in triple sheet metal of the vessel material itself.
The method is carried out in such a way that a pressed base b (FIG. I) with a corresponding edge height r 'is inserted in a known manner with its cambered part into the frame z of the vessel to be produced and, after soldering, welding or the like, its edge r 'With that (r) the frame according to the invention is pushed through towards the bottom side of the vessel in such a way that by superimposing the pushed-back bottom part and the welded or soldered vessel edge r' and by pressing these parts together by means of

shape of the vessel forms; By continuing the pressure, the edge / rests against the bottom of the vessel.
The advantage of a vessel produced in this way is particularly important in cookware. since their service life is extended by a great deal due to the reinforced bottom edge a (FIG. 3) - the bottom edge is exposed to the greatest wear in most vessels; In addition, the floor remains protected from external wear by the reinforcement a: (Fig. 3).
