Telephone system in which the connection lines are indicated by lamps as occupied or free.
The invention relates to telecommunication systems in which the operation takes place entirely or partially by hand, and in particular to systems in which an officer at a remote control panel B is called automatically by inserting a plug on a switchboard. The invention relates in particular to a way of indicating to the officer in FIG. 1 whether outgoing connection lines are occupied, and is particularly applicable to systems in which the outgoing connection lines are in subgroups, e.g. B. in the normal traffic or the peak traffic serving first-choice and second-choice groups o. The like. Are divided.
Attempts have already been made to assign a lamp in office A to the jack of each connection line in connection lines that were combined in a single group, which lamp lights up when the associated connection line is busy. The lamps on busy connection lines then glow for the entire duration of the conversation. Because of the strong lamp light and power consumption and because of the difficulty of marking the handle in office A as occupied until the plug in the desired office B has been pulled out, this facility has not found a favorable reception.
To counter these inconveniences, the subject of the invention divides the total number of lamps, which corresponds to the number of pawls on the connecting lines, into subgroups, each of which is monitored by one or more keys. Each subgroup includes all lines going to an office with which one or more officers can establish connections, so that when a key is pressed, the occupied lines of the associated lamps glow and an officer can establish the connection to a line with a non-glowing lamp . As many buttons or switches are assigned to each workstation as there are subgroups of lamps or switches.

If time elapses, means must be provided whereby a connection line is displayed as busy until the plug of Office B is pulled out; This is achieved in that, as shown in FIG. 2, the primary t is equipped with two windings, one of which is via springs of relay a with the third wire of the associated connecting line and the other via springs of relay a and springs of a disconnection relay t is connected to one of the line cables.

If the latter is free, however, the lamp does not glow and the officer puts the plug in the latch switch, connecting the negative pole via line 4 and the supervision lamp d to the cut-off relay @; the line wire is separated from the tester by the latter. The way in which the call lamp @ is made to glow is also recognizable.

If time elapses, means must be provided whereby a connection line is displayed as occupied until the plug of the mtes B is also pulled out; This is achieved by equipping the test relay b with two windings, as shown in Fig. a, one of which is via springs of relay a with the third wire of the associated connecting line and the other via springs of relay a and springs of a cut-off relay @ is connected to one of the line cables.
If a circuit 1 is closed for relay a by pressing a button k and the connection line is occupied, relay b receives power from the negative pole and the third conductor of the plug via line 2 and sets lamp I to glow via line 3 . The officer then does not plug this connection line. If the latter is free, however, the lamp does not glow and the officer puts the plug in the latch switch, connecting the negative pole via line 4 and the supervision lamp d to the alarm relay t; the line wire is separated from the tester by the latter. The manner in which the call lamp @ is made to glow is immediately recognizable.
When the lamp e is glowing, the official of the office hits the talk button f, which connects his telephone with the connection line and also

learned, he introduces the plug p to establish the connection, whereby the line 6 via the relay In and the shut-off lamp n is closed. By switching on the relay m, the line 5 is interrupted and the circuit 7 prepared.
The speech button f is released and the telephone of the official of office B is switched off from the connection line. If at the end of the conversation the official of office A interrupts the connection, but that of B hesitates and another or the same official of A checks this connection line to see whether it is free, the circuit 7 at the relays c and a becomes second coil of the puddle b closed, whereby the lamp 1 is brought to glow and thereby indicates that this connecting line cannot be used.
