   Oesterreichische PATENTSCHRIFT Ni. 8569.

CLASSE 9 : BORSTENWAREN. CARL LINSNMEYER IN WIEN.

CLASSE 9: BRISTLES. CARL LINSNMEYER IN VIENNA.

   Bristle attachment for brushes.

The present invention is characterized in that the known solution of celluloid in glacial acetic acid and acetone, which is already used for cementing but not for brush cementing, is used in the production of brushes in the manner described below for the purpose of preventing bristles from falling out to keep out of the brushes, which seems to be achieved in particular because when using a previously thought-out solution instead of the adhesive used up to now in the production of brushes, dissolution does not take place so easily even when the used brushes are washed out in turpentine.

The bursting bundle is established in the usual manner, but by immersing the bound part in the viscous celluloid solution discussed above; then the bundle of bristles is introduced into the hollow space of the wooden clip in a known manner, with repeated use of the solution in question for a stronger connection between the wood and the bristles than with the previously customary method.
 EMI1.1
stuck, covered with splits (wrapped around) and the outer brush frame, made of wood and splits, is coated with the same, but less thick and slightly colored solution.
