Sicherung für Taschenuhren gegen Diebstahl.
Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf Sicherungen für Taschenuhren gegen Diebstahl und besteht aus den in den Ansprüchen gekennzeichneten Einrichtungen.
In den Zeichnungen stellt Fig. i die Ansicht, Fig. g den Schnitt A-B bei geschlossener, Fig. 2 die Ansicht, Fig. 4 den Schnitt C-D, bei offener Vorrichtung, dar, Fig. 5 ist die Seitenansicht, Fig. 6 der Schnitt E-F.
Der Uhrhalter-besteht aus einem Ring aus Stahldraht, dessen Durchmesser ein wenig grösser als jener der Taschenuhr ist. Die Ringenden weisen kreisförmige Ausbiegungen auf, die sich zu einem zu der Oberfläche des Ringes vertikal abgebogenen Öhre ergänzen h. Eine jede solche Ausbiegung bildet etwa Dreiviertel eines Halbkreises, an dessen Umfang ein nach unten umgebogener Fortsatz Vi vorhanden ist. In dem normalen Zustand (ohne Druck auf den Ring, Fig. I) liegen die Ausbiegungen aufeinander und bilden einen geschlossenen Kreis (Öhr), dessen Durchmesser dem Durchmesser des Taschenuhrhalses entspricht ; die Fortsätze kreuzen sich hierbei derart, dass ihre Enden einen keilförmigen Einschnitt e bilden.
Unten an der Stelle x-y wird der Ring an die innere Seite der Westentasche auf irgendeine Weise befestigt (z. B. angenäht).
'Die Wirkungsweise ist folgende : Drückt man den Taschenuhrhals gegen den Einschnitt e, so gehen die Fortsätze VI auseinander, das Öhr erweitert sich, so, dass der Uhrhals die Enden k überspringt. Nach dem Aufhören des Druckes nimmt das Öhr (der Elastizität des Ringes halber) seine frühere (normale) Gestalt an und umgreift den Taschenuhrhals. Will man denselben wiederum befreien, so drückt man an die Vorsprünge Vz des Ringes. Demzufolge zieht sich der Ring zusammen, das Ohr geht auseinander und der Uhrhals kann ohne Hindernis befreit werden.
PATENT-ANSPRÜCHE : i. Sicherung für Taschenuhren gegen Diebstahl, gekennzeichnet durch einen an der Innenseite der Tasche befestigten, die Uhr umschliessenden federnden Bügel, dessen Enden halbkreisförmige Ausbiegungen aufweisen, die sich zu einem beim Gegeneinanderdrücken der beiden Bügelschenkel sich öffnenden Ohr ergänzen, welches zur Aufnahme und zum Festhalten des Uhrhalses oder eines anderen Bestandteiles des Uhrgehäuses dient.

The present invention relates to safeguards for pocket watches against theft and consists of the devices characterized in the claims.

The watch holder consists of a ring made of steel wire, the diameter of which is slightly larger than that of the pocket watch. The ring ends have circular bends which complement each other to form an eye that is bent vertically towards the surface of the ring. Each such bend forms about three quarters of a semicircle, on the circumference of which there is an extension Vi bent downwards. In the normal state (without pressure on the ring, Fig. I) the bends lie on top of one another and form a closed circle (eye), the diameter of which corresponds to the diameter of the pocket watch neck; the extensions cross each other in such a way that their ends form a wedge-shaped incision e.
At the bottom of the x-y position, the ring is attached to the inside of the vest pocket in some way (e.g. sewn on).
The mode of action is as follows: If the neck of the pocket watch is pressed against the incision e, the extensions VI diverge, the eye expands so that the neck of the watch jumps over the ends k. After the pressure has stopped, the eye (for the sake of elasticity of the ring) assumes its previous (normal) shape and surrounds the pocket watch neck. If one wants to free it again, one presses on the projections Vz of the ring. As a result, the ring contracts, the ear comes apart and the neck of the watch can be released without hindrance.
PATENT CLAIMS: i. Protection for pocket watches against theft, characterized by a resilient bracket attached to the inside of the pocket, enclosing the watch, the ends of which have semicircular bends that complement each other to form an ear that opens when the two bracket legs are pressed against each other, which is used to hold and hold the watch neck or another part of the watch case.
