Doppelfachjacquardmaschine.

Double jacquard machine.
Double jacquard machines with double sinkers, a movable platinum base and two groups of knives have already become known, one of which is fixed, the other, however, can be moved up and down and each of which forms a horizontal plane with its supporting edges when the subject closes. In these machines, each plate is encompassed by two parallel needles and these are influenced by two card prisms.
The present invention enables the boards to be actuated by a single card prism

in pairs, one on top of the other, held at a distance from one another by an intermediate plate that is thick enough to match the prismatic surfaces and is perforated in the same way as the prismatic surfaces, so that the upper and lower compartment are simultaneously formed by placing the different plates, each of which is only by one needs to be controlled by a single needle, the two cards are pushed back or pushed back to different degrees.
remain unaffected, so that individual blanks are lifted by the movable knives, other blanks remain hanging on the fixed knives and the remaining blanks, unaffected by the two knife groups, lower between them with the bottom of the blanks moving in opposite directions to the rising and falling knives.
The drawing schematically illustrates an embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
From the boards al, a3, Ng ,. a4, a5, al are each equipped with two opposing hooks b and c arranged at different heights. Each plate is supported by a spring-loaded needle dl or à2, da,. d4, ds, d6 encompassed the known type.

Guided cards g1, g2 are arranged in pairs one above the other and are held at a distance from one another by a plate h of the same size which, like the prism / ', has holes corresponding to the needle positions. All the holes in the rear card g2 are accessible through holes in the associated front card g1, which also has holes which are covered by the rear card gz.
The knives il, i, is,, belonging to the sinker hook b can be moved up and down together. The to the

can be moved in the opposite direction to the knives ils up and down.
The operation of the machine shown is as follows. Depending on the needles until you face the full parts of the front card g2 or the holes in the same, but the full parts of the back card g2 or the holes in the back card that coincide with the holes in the front card, the different needles be pushed back more or less strongly or penetrate into the holes of the prism f and in the latter case remain unaffected by this or by the two cards gai, g2.
As the drawing shows, for example, the hook c of the board as is in engagement with the associated knife k5, both hooks b, c of the boards a4, bu are outside the range of the knives i4, k4 or iu, ku and the hooks b

Sink a4, a6 because of the simultaneously inevitable downward movement of the sinker base m, lower as a result of their load. The FIa. tine a; however, remains hanging on the associated knife ko and accordingly retains its normal position.
It is easy to see that in this way the warp threads carried by the sinkers a1, a3 are produced. lifted, the chain threads carried along by the sinkers a4, a6 are lowered and the chain thread carried by the sinker sss remains in its horizontal position, so that a double shed is formed.
As the drawing shows, both types of cards gl, g2 and the associated plate h are rigidly connected to one another to form a single chain. These cards could just as well form two loosely superposed chains, to one of which the plates h are attached.
