Diese Ringe aus Pergament haben, abgeschen von ihrer Billigkeit die grossen Vorzüge, dass sie in einfacher schneller Weise auf dem Geschoss befestigt werden können und dass sie die Züge des Geschützrohres bei sicherer Führung des Geschosses schonen.
Es sind zwar Geschossringe aus blossem Faserstoff angegeben worden. Ein solcher Geschoss- ring genügt aber den an ihn gestellten Anforderungen durchaus nicht in dem Masse, wie der

schosse in den Zügen des Geschützrohres die erforderliche fente dichte Führung zu geben, die zur Erzielung der Drehung des Geschosses um seine Längsachse notwendig ist.
Um den Geschassführungsringen aus Pergament auf jeden Fall der Verwenlung die erforderliche Widers : andsfähigkeit zu geben, sie auch in jeder verlangten Dicke herstellen und sie vor dem Aufbringen auf das Geschoss völlig fertig bearbeiten bzw. auf das genaue Augenmass abdrehen zu können, werden die Ringe gemäss der Erfindung aus Hartpergament hergestellt, das aus zusammenpergamentierten Wicklungen fertigen Pergaments besteht.
Die Zeichnung zeigt in Fig. I teils in der Ansicht. teils im Schnitt, in Fig. 2 in einem Querschnitt nach z-b einen solchen Ring r, in welchem die Wicklungen durch dicke Linien angeleutet s ! nd. Die Befestigung des Ringes auf dem Geschoss erfolgt bei diesem Beispiel durch eine Mutter m. wie aus der Zeichnung ohne weiteres ersichtlich.
