PATEXT-AXSPRTCHE : i.

Artificial hand.
The subject of the present invention is an artificial hand which closes by pulling a pull rod or the like running in the direction of the forearm. The hand possesses, like the natural hand. four front fingers and a thumb that open and close together. The invention relates in particular to the locking device which drives the five fingers together, in which the front fingers and thumb, which are at an angle to one another, are reached by toggle levers arranged at the appropriate angle.
The invention is shown in the drawing by FIG. 1 in longitudinal section and FIG. 2 in plan. Fig. 3 shows the locking device seen from the front, after removal of the fingers and the forehand body. In Fig. the drawbar is shown by which the locking device is connected to the front fingers. while Fig.; ; indicates a special version of the locking device.
The forehand attachment b and the thumb attachment c are attached to the wrist tu.
The forehand attachment b is used to hold the front fingers, the thumb attachment c is used to hold the thumb. The thumb and front finger are at an angle oc to one another, whereby one leg of the angle in the drawing is intended to go through the middle finger. Corresponding

formed angle stands, added.
For the purpose of straight guidance of the levers d1-6 among themselves, they are mutually engaged by the segment teeth d2.
The levers l d1-3 are mounted or swing in the wrist a. as in the example. in a bearing ring a1 specially attached to the wrist. The angle lever d1. is connected to the front fingers by the cradle f1-3, the purpose of which is to achieve a compensation of the finger closure, such. that the fingers face uneven opposing

Pistons h are stored. If the piston A is pulled in the arm direction by the pull rod i, the knee levers g1-4 spread and move the angle levers d1-3 backwards. whereby the cradle of the fore-ngers or the pull rod of the thumb is tightened and all fingers are closed together. The thumb is adjustable so that it can close or close something.
The fingers are opened by the spring k.
As shown in FIG. 5, the supplementary angle lever da or toggle lever g3, which goes along empty, can also be replaced by the roller l. which runs over the bar nz. the knee levers gl for the fore men and g2 for the thumb are supported and at the same time straightened.
PATEXT-AXSPRTCHE: i. Closing device for artificial hands, in which the closing device consists of a lever device connecting the pull rod and the fingers, characterized in that the connection between the pull rod and the lever device controlling the fingers consists of angle levers and toggle levers. which are arranged at an angle to one another, with levers or rollers being arranged at the apex of the angle formed by the toggle levers, by means of which the side pressure arising in the apex is canceled.
