Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

     MAX ORENSTEIN m   BERLIN. StirnhammermitzwanglänfigbewegtemHolm.

     MAX ORENSTEIN in BERLIN. Forehead hammer with cheek

   The spar a of the new hammer swings around the axis e. At the rear end it has a longer extension i, in which the halves of the dies f are incorporated, which fit the halves 9 provided in an anvil.

   Such hammers have hitherto been operated by means of lifting thumbs and similar elements in such a way that they acted by free fall after lifting.

   In doing so, however, the most varied disadvantages became apparent, such as B. strong vibrations and damage to individual parts caused by them; Furthermore, it was not possible, especially if the hammer was to be used quickly, to achieve a regular or even operation, because z. B. when quickly passing the thumbs the hammer to the emphatic fall, moving blow on the workpiece no time remained. Time remained.

   According to the present invention, there is a compulsory leadership, respectively. Raising and lowering of the spar instead, which not only ensures a uniform and regular effect, but also allows a faster succession of the same. For this purpose, a disk with a corresponding slot guide is attached to a post on the front frame, rotatable about the axis d, in which a guide roller b attached to the front end of the hammer moves. This disk can be out of round with double or multiple coulisse guides (Fig. 1). It can also have the shape of an eccentric with a corresponding guide, as shown for example in FIG.

   With these, as well as all other possible forms, the inevitable guidance of the front part of the hammer causes an exact operation and effectiveness of the hammer due to the type and course of the guide slots.
