Two circuits, corresponding to the present invention, of a telecommunication system for double and single lines are shown on the accompanying drawing in the through-talk.
In the circuit shown in FIG. 1, the microphone battery b located at the office a is switched between the double lines leading to the subscriber stations 1 and 11 through the choke coils c with the intermediary of the speech switch. On the subscriber stations, the telephone with the secondary winding of the transmitter coil is connected in series, while the microphone d and the primary coil e, lying parallel to each other, are enclosed in a branch connected parallel to the telephone circuit of the subscriber station.
In order to ensure that the resistance changes of the microphone that arise when speaking are only effective on the primary winding e of the transmitter coil, which is parallel to it, but have no influence on the subscriber line, a high self-induction f of is required in series with this combination resistance consisting of microphone and primary winding any high ohmic resistance! ' switched into the branch line. This high level of self-induction simultaneously prevents the telephone currents from crossing into the micro-receipt circuit, so that the conversation can be transmitted without any disturbing influence.
A capacitor can advantageously be connected upstream of the primary coil in order to cancel the self-induction of the former.
The telephone circuit is locked on the subscriber station by polarization cells or condenser 9 against the battery current.
The circuit shown in Fig. 2 differs from the one described above only in that the earth serves as the return line.
Instead of placing the primary winding in the shunt branch, the same could also be switched into the microphone branch, in which case the microphone and primary winding comprising the shunt have a suitable resistor with or without a condenser.
