So ist jede der beiden Kupplungen nur einer Achswelle zugeordnet. Wenn ein Rad keine Bodenhaftung findet, wird durch verstärktes Anlegen der Kupplung auf der anderen Seite dieser ein höheres Drehmoment zugeteilt.
