Slab press.
EMI1.1
Fuel is pressed between rotating rollers.
In the known briquette presses, only one of the press rollers is flexibly mounted with respect to the other, so that when a certain predetermined pressure is exceeded, it can swing out. In these known machines and also in those with support arms for one of the forming rollers that can be rotated below and are controlled by a spring, the one-sided flexibility of the press rollers does not meet the requirements for uniform processing of the press material.
In contrast to this, the subject matter of the invention provides press rollers with support arms arranged on the end sides, which are rotatably mounted at the bottom and are controlled by springs and that furthermore the upper ends of the roller ge to a press. Subordinate arms are rigidly connected by a crossbar, while the arms on the same side of the press roll run on a common rod so that when a certain pressure is exceeded, both press rolls can swing outwards and the raw material is processed with the same pressure.
Furthermore, the subject of the invention is characterized in that one of the plates provided for supporting the springs at the ends of the rod is equipped with a bearing which, together with a bearing of the support arms, accepts rollers so that a flexible and articulated connection of the parts is formed .
In the drawings, FIG. 1 shows a side view of the briquette press 6, individual parts being shown in section, and FIG. 2 shows a top view thereof.
The press comprises the support frames 1 and 2 which carry a pair of hollow side arms 3, preferably made of cast iron, the latter being provided with upwardly extending parts sa. In the middle parts of each side frame 3, a pair of hollow shafts 4 are provided in which solid shafts 5 and 6 rotate. The waves 5 and 6 continue on both sides of the hollow shafts for a considerable distance. The lower ends of Trä are loose on the hollow shafts. low in which the

On the shaft 6, a gear 12 is provided which is set in rotation by a gear 13 of the drive shaft 14, the latter being mounted in the side walls of the frame 3. In this way, when the shaft 14 rotates, the various gears and thus the press rollers are set in rotation, which rotate relative to one another.
Since the support arms 7 can swing out about the shafts 5 and 6, the press rollers carried by these arms move against one another or from one another without the

Lugs 23 of the arms 7 come into engagement with arms 24 of the frame part 3a in order to limit the movement of the arms towards one another, which prevents the working surfaces of the form rings from coming into contact with one another and from grinding one another during operation of the machine.
