The bores d as well as the holes c and the longitudinal grooves e can have different dimensions depending on the thickness or number of wires and cords to be accommodated.
Since the insulating body has holes 0 at both ends and only the holes at one end are used to knot the carrying cords, the openings at the other end for hanging chain hangings, cladding and the like remain free.
For the purpose of hanging the objects mentioned, the central opening of the insulating body is now made square, while the side holes f are provided to run after the central hole d so that the hooks of the hangings can comfortably place in the corners of the hole d not filled by the round lead wires without exerting any pressure on the wires, as can be seen from the diagonal section (Fig. 3) and the top view (Fig. 4).

body hangs in the bulb socket, this hanger contributing to further relieve the lead wires from tension. The knotting of the carrying cords in the light bulb socket is the same as that of the canopy, of course the other way around. The hook eyes can expediently be insulated.

A simpler design of the insulating nipple can also be brought about by the fact that, instead of making groove-like depressions on the nipple jacket, which lead to the radial holes, both ends of the nipple as weaker, cylindrical or prismatic approaches of constant or outwardly conical tapering cross-section -

between the nipple and the threaded part 1 of the cap, coherent annular spaces n are created, into which the holes c open. The wall of the nipple a can be made more or less weak at the remote ends, depending on the string ends to be pulled through or the hooks to be suspended require space between the socket l and nipple a. The attachment of the carrying cord to the nipple can of course also take place here in various ways.

In Fig. 12 and 13 a nipple of square cross-section is shown, at the ends of which lugs el are formed with weaker walls. Instead of letting these stepped parts e * run equally strong, they can be used, similar to the cylindrical ones. Nipples are designed to be tapered towards the ends.
