<Desc/Clms Page number 3>
<Desc/Clms Page number 4>

The invention relates to a wind turbine with a current generator and with a wind vane for the automatic adjustment of the wind turbine against the wind direction, the wind turbine and wind vane being rotatably mounted together about a vertical axis and arranged on the surface of the wind vane at least on one side surface of solar collectors for generating electricity or generating heat are.
Such a wind turbine or a wind turbine which can be aligned against the wind direction by means of a wind vane is known from GB 695 519 A. Wind turbines are used together with electricity generators to generate energy. Wind energy is one of the renewable energy sources and the electrical energy thus obtained does not pollute the environment. A popular area of application for the energy supply with electrical power, which is obtained from wind energy, is remote areas which are not connected to a power supply network or the continuous operation of a diesel generator is uneconomical. The only problem is that when there is no wind, no energy can be obtained.
Solar collectors, which also generate electrical energy, are suitable as a substitute energy source for the windless period. The disadvantage here is that separate foundations and brackets have to be built for the installation of the solar collectors. Furthermore, the collector surfaces, which are at an angle to the sun, must be cleaned and serviced regularly. Another disadvantage is that stationary fixed, z. For example, solar collectors oriented in a southward direction do not achieve optimal efficiency because they do not follow the sun's course. This means that larger collector areas are necessary.
DE 34 04 995 A1 discloses a mobile solar and wind power plant which is mounted on an amphibious vehicle. A wind turbine with generator and a wind vane with solar cells are used. In this way, the amphibious vehicle is to be supplied with electrical energy even when the sun is out.

A combination of wind turbines and photovoltaics is also described in JP 11-125171 A. There a wind turbine is described which has a propeller with an electric drive at each end of each wind turbine blade. Solar cells are arranged on the wind vane of the wind turbine, which feed the electrical drives for the propellers and thus set the propellers and thus the wind turbine in rotation when there is no wind.
DE 198 39 647 Cl relates to a wind turbine which drives a compressor in the context of a heat pump. The evaporator is designed in the form of a wind vane for the wind turbine and has a register of pipelines. It is also known to align photovoltaic panels towards the sun by rotating them about an axis.
The invention aims at generating energy with wind power and, alternatively, with photovoltaics, the collectors which form the wind vane also being able to be used, or alternatively, for heat generation. The optimal setting of the wind vane z. B. in the event of wind power failure, an actuator is provided for positioning the wind turbine and wind vane about the vertical axis and the wind vane itself can be adjusted about a horizontal axis in extension of the wind turbine axis or parallel to it, and for Rotating the wind vane around the horizontal axis connects an actuator to the horizontal axis. Thus, two actuators are provided that are used when there is too little wind, especially when there is no wind.
In wind turbine operation, the wind vane is oriented vertically to align the wind turbine axis against the wind. When generating solar energy, the wind vane or the solar collectors are inclined towards the sun. The inclination adapts to the height of the sun above the horizon.
The solar collectors also track the sun on the plain. So it is possible, when there is no wind and sunshine, to move the solar collector swivel axis transversely to the sunshine.

Align radiation and, if necessary, also align the wind wheel axis in the wind direction by force control.
To minimize friction losses, it is advantageous if the wind turbine and the wind vane are each connected to a common frame via a shaft and a bearing.
In order to be able to automate the alignment of the wind wheel or wind vane axis with the frame with a control, it is provided that the frame can be rotated relative to a standpipe by means of a geared motor.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the accompanying drawings.
1 shows a wind turbine according to the invention with a power generator in a partially sectioned side view and FIG. 2 shows a perspective view.
According to FIG. 1, a windmill 20 comprises a standpipe 7 on a mast 19. A likewise circular-cylindrical mandrel 6, which is connected to a frame 9, engages in the hollow circular-cylindrical standpipe 7. Bearing 8 keeps the friction between standpipe 7 and mandrel 6 as small as possible.
For example, four wind turbine blades 1 emanate from a wind turbine shaft 2, the wind turbine blades 1 being offset from one another by 90. The wind turbine shaft 2 is connected to the frame 9 by means of a bearing 3. The end of the windmill shaft 2 is connected to a gear 4 and the output shaft of the gear 4 to a power generator 5. The speed of the wind turbine blades 1 or the wind turbine shaft 2 is adapted in the transmission 4 to the speed of the power generator 5.
The arrangement has a wind vane 10 for the automatic alignment of the frame 9 against the wind. The wind vane 10 is fastened with bearings 12 to the frame 9 about a horizontal axis 21 (flag shaft). Solar panels 11 are attached to one side of the surface of the wind vane 10.
With the electric actuator 15, the horizontal axis 21 with the wind vane 10 together with the solar panel
<Desc / Clms Page number 4>
gate 11 are inclined. The actuator 15 acts on the horizontal axis 21 by means of a worm gear 14. Furthermore, an actuator 17 with a friction wheel 18 is arranged below the frame 9 in order to insert the frame 9 or the wind vane 10 with the solar collectors 11 into the Set the direction of sunlight. The frame 9 is rotated with the actuator 17 about a vertical axis 22. A geared motor of the actuator 17 is connected to the frame 9 via a swivel joint, a lifting cylinder 16 engaging the loose end of the swivel joint in order to lift (disengage) or press on (couple) the actuator 17 with the friction wheel 18 from the standpipe 7. ,
When the wind energy is sufficient to drive, the wind turbine 20 with the electricity generator 5 supplies electrical energy from the electricity generator 5. In this operating mode, the wind turbine blades 1 are rotated by the wind and the wind turbine shaft 2 drives the transmission 4 and thus also the electricity generator 5 on. The wind vane 10 is brought into a vertical position with the actuator 15 and the worm gear 14 and held there. Furthermore, the actuator 17 with the friction wheel 18 is lifted off the standpipe 7 (disengaged). The wind wheel 20 with the frame 9 orients itself independently against the wind direction due to the free rotatability. The wind vane 10 with the solar collectors 11 is not used for energy generation because of the vertical or vertical orientation in the wind.
If the wind energy is not sufficient to drive the power generator 5, the wind vane 10 is inclined from the vertical position into a flatter position by means of the actuator 15 and the worm gear 14. Furthermore, the solar collectors 11 are aligned by rotating the frame 9 for solar radiation. For this purpose, the friction wheel 18 and the actuator 17 are pressed with the lifting cylinder 16 against the standpipe 7. The actuator 17 is activated and the friction wheel 18 runs along the standpipe 7 and thus rotates the frame 9. Due to the alignment and the inclination setting
<Desc / Clms Page number 5>
the solar collectors 11 to the sun, the energy yield of solar radiation can be optimized.
The electrical connection or contacting of the current generator 5, actuator 15, actuator 17 and sun collectors 11 to the risers in the mast 19 takes place via slip rings in order to enable the frame 9 to rotate endlessly.
A controller records the position of the sun and, when there is no wind, activates the two actuators 15 and 17 to align the wind vane 10 with its solar collectors 11 against the sun.
Known components or circuits are used for the measurement, control and regulation tasks.
The solar collectors 11 can also be used, for example, for water heating. A liquid medium flows through the collector surfaces.
