and the relay 48. The current reference via the upstream resistor is not great enough to keep the connected relays connected in parallel. But it is a phenomenon observed in practice that relay armatures never drop absolutely evenly.
As soon as one of the relay armatures drops out, the current in the windings 54 of the remaining relays is increased somewhat. The resistance ratios are dimensioned such that only a single relay remains energized via the resistor 50, namely the one whose armature drops off the least quickly. Extremely small differences in the inertia of the relay armature are sufficient. If the differences that exist from the outset are not sufficient, it is always easy to adjust the anchors accordingly by tightening the springs and the like. Assume that relay 44 is the one holding its armature. Incidentally, the "elimination" of the remaining connection relays occurs within extremely short periods of time.
As a result of the excitation of the relay-M, a circuit for the magnet 82 of the control switch assigned to the officer seat P was closed via its working contact 57, and the control switch was moved to the second position. The switch reaches position 2 after the processes described above with respect to the relay 44 have already taken place. In this second position, a spring 58 short-circuits the resistor 50 and thereby causes a different

Control switch magnet S1 resumes power and moves its switch to position 7, in which the circuit for relay 56 is interrupted at spring 55.
By interrupting the circuit mentioned, the relay 48 is also de-energized and closes the normally closed contact 47, as a result of which the magnet t 82 is excited via the spring 46. The control switch at the officer's place then changes to position 5. When passing through position 3, spring 60 closes a circuit from earth via 60, line 61, control switch spring 62 in position 7, spring 63 of the control switch belonging to the viewfinder in position and control switch magnet S closed, whereby the control switch is moved to position 4.
