Zwammenklappbare Lanze.
EMI1.1

Collapsible lance.
The present invention relates to collapsible lances, the parts of which are connected by a joint and secured in the ready-to-fight position by a sleeve pushed over it. The object of the invention is that the sleeve, which is displaceable on a lance part and conceals the joint in the state of use, can be brought into engagement with a threaded ring fixed to the other lance part and with a screw connection sleeve that is displaceable on the lance part, and furthermore that the screw connection of the The sleeve with the ring fixed to the lance shaft and the counter-sleeve is carried out by oppositely directed threads, which are expediently kept different in their pitch.
An example embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing.
1 and 2 each illustrate a view of the lance ready for battle or folded. FIG. 3 is a view of the lance parts united by the hinge with the slip sleeves removed. 4 and 5 show sections through the hinge connection with the lance ready for battle and folded.
A lance consists of two expediently equally long parts a and b, which are united by a double hinge c. The length of the hinge piece corresponds to the distance between the lance parts in the collapsed parallel state. The fastening of the barrier piece to the lance parts can be done by holding pieces cl which are soldered into the lance tube or fastened in some other way. A threaded ring d is attached to part b, behind which a sleeve part j is slidably arranged. A sleeve part 9 is displaceable on the lance part a; the latter has an internal thread which matches the external thread of the ring d, while at the same time it has an external thread which is designed to correspond to the internal thread of the sleeve part f.
In the battle-ready position (Fig. 1) the lance parts a and b are of course in a straight line.
The sleeve part 9 is pushed over the hinge c and screwed onto the threaded ring d, while the sleeve part f is screwed onto the part 9. This creates a particularly secure connection between the two lance parts which cannot be released when the lance is subjected to torsional stress.
If the lance is to be folded up, the sleeve parts and 9 are released and they are pushed back onto the lance parts bund a, 80 so that the hinge c is free and the two lance parts can be folded together. The collapsed position of the lance parts is now

of the lance part a is inserted.
It is expedient to make the external thread of the ring d as well as the internal thread of the sleeve part 9 with a different pitch and in the opposite direction than the external thread of the last-mentioned part and the associated internal thread of the sleeve part f. Thus, if the sleeve part 9 tried to loosen, it may rotate in one sense or the other, either the internal or external thread is always tightened, so that an automatic loosening is definitely avoided.
So that the thread d is protected against damage caused by blows or knocks even in the collapsed position of the lance, the sleeve is partly fastened over it (FIG. 5).
For this purpose, a thread is used on a short ring attachment of the rod b, which is of a smaller diameter, but of the same pitch and direction as the external thread of the part 9.
The secondary thread d also has the purpose of increasing the security of the grip sleeve against automatic loosening in the mutually screwed and secured combat position of the lance, since the safety locking sleeve f is firmly screwed to the threaded ring d and also to the locking sleeve 9, and thus a threefold Security in the locking of the lance in combat-related adjustment offers.
The present fuse has the great advantage that it can also be attached to the lances that are already in use without major changes. The displaceable sleeve is also designed as a lance handle.
