fitted. is, forms a locking bolt which, when moved upward, can engage in a slot u, open at the bottom, of the enclosure e of the associated flap c and then locks it. The lower end of the locking bar i is designed to receive a key v, for the passage of which the bottom of the frame d has a suitable opening w.
The facility shown is used as follows: Accepted. The compartments b contain the food to be kept in box a, which individually rest on the bottoms h of these compartments and exert pressure on the closed flaps c due to their weight. which, however, are kept locked by the locking bolt r in its highest position. If the latch r is pushed down by pressing one of the handles t, it leaves the slot M of the relevant flap c and unlocks it, so that it now lets the pastry or the like fall out unhindered and then immediately closes again due to its own weight.
If the bolt r has emerged from the slot u, the upper end of the leaf spring o snaps under the associated tooth k, which then prevents the bolt r from moving back and thus prevents the unauthorized locking of the flap c. Once the food has been removed from the opened compartment b, it can no longer be returned to the container a. because it would fall out again by itself. The return movement of the bolt r can only be brought about after turning the locking rod i by means of the key v provided for this purpose, whereupon the springs o together with the bolts r can be pushed upwards unhindered.
The key v can be designed in a known manner. that it can only be pulled out when the ratchet teeth k are facing the leaf springs o. to reveal.
