in the container 4 and moves one end of the envelope downwards during its downward movement, whereupon the latter is grasped by the pliers 13 (Fig. 1) and placed over the plate 2, which has meanwhile been removed from the magazine 1 by the slide 14 and brought over the finger 15 (dot-dash position in Fig. 1). The sheet with the cover is then brought into a folding device in a known manner by means of the finger and packed in the same in the cover.
The suction stroke of the pump is achieved in that the lever 12 moves downwards and thus enables the cylinder 9 to move in the same way by the spring 10. As soon as an envelope has been sucked in, the negative pressure arising in the pump cylinder prevents the cylinder from moving further downwards so that it does not come into contact with the lever 23.
In order to expel the air from the cylinder and release the envelope through the suction device, the lever 72 lifts the cylinder by acting on the arm 11. Since the linkage 22, 23 is not influenced during these processes, the pin 21 always remains in the detent 20 the gate 19, and therefore the slide 14 is carried along with each stroke of the lever 17 by means of the pin 21.
Now it happens that there are no more casings 4 in the container. or that the suction device 6 does not work, that is to say that no casing is sucked in by the suction device (FIG. 2), then of course no negative pressure can and will arise in the pump cylinder. if the lever 12, as usual, moves down to enable the suction stroke. the cylinder 9 move further downwards than usual under the action of the spring 10 and then strike the lever 23 and rotate the same in the direction of the arrow in FIG.
During this rotation of the lever 23, the rod 22 with the pin 21 is moved upwards and the latter is thus lifted out of the catch 20 on the link 19 so that when the lever 17 is now swung out. the pin is moved without entrainment of the slide 14 in its gate 19 (see dash-dotted position in Fig. 2). The slide 14 therefore stops, and no panel 2 is removed from the magazine in the sun. This process is repeated until the teat sucks in an envelope or until the container. 3 is again filled with wrappings.
Instead of the air pump shown, any air pump of another construction can be provided which has a movable part which generates the suction effect and which, when no suction effect is generated, carries out a greater path than the normal. Another driver device could also be used instead of the pliers. z. B. a pair of rollers. to move the labels away.
