Alarm clock with a device that closes or opens an electrical circuit at the desired time.
The present invention relates to a device which can be used in the known alarm clocks and which closes or opens a circuit, e.g. B. lighting circuit, caused at a predetermined time, depending on whether the circuit in question was open or closed. In addition to this device, the alarm clock can also be provided with the usual bell mechanism.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention.
1 and 2 show schematically part of the switch in two different positions.
EMI1.1
actuates the switch, and FIG. 5 shows a section of the switch.
Fig. 4 shows as an example the known device of alarm clocks, in which at the set time an arm a is moved (in the figure only the upper end of this arm a can be seen after this arm is perpendicular to the plane of the figure) . This arm a also displaces the axis c n1Ïuds of a flange attachment b. In the rest position, the axis c engages by means of a projection c 'between the teeth of the gear fi that actuates the bell! and therefore restrains the rotation of the gear.
If the axis c is displaced by the arm a, the projection c 'emerges from the teeth of the gear wheel d so that the latter can rotate freely and the gear wheel d is therefore set in rotation when the spring of the bell mechanism is pulled up, whereby the Bell sounds.
According to the invention, the axis o has a second extension c ", which with a

An arm o is attached to the axis i, in the path of which two stops p are arranged in such a way that the axis i can only perform a quarter turn. The axis i actuates the switch k used to switch the circuit on and off.
EMI1.3
a wrench q screwed connected axis (Fig. 4 and 5), on which a block s made of an insulating material is slidable, but not rotatable; the block s is constantly pressed against the plate 1 by a spring t arranged on the axis r.
A metal bridge u is insulated on the block s (FIGS. 3 and 5), which is set in the appropriate position. That connects the two metal tongues m of the plate 1. The insulating plate 1 is rotatable about the axis i and for this purpose has a handle; which protrudes through a slot w in the case of the watch; the slot w is dimensioned such that the plate 1 can only perform a quarter turn.
The device works as follows:
The spring h of the switching device is pulled up by turning the handle q. By the

can therefore be adjusted as required with the handle t.
If the alarm clock is now set to the desired point in time, the axis c is shifted when this point in time occurs, whereupon the gear wheel e is free and the axis i and the axis r connected to it are rotated by a quarter turn by the spring h; as a result, the bridge u assumes a position perpendicular to the previous position and closes or opens the circuit, depending on whether it was open or closed. In addition, the gear wheel d was also released by the axis c, whereby the bell sounds when the actuating spring of the same is wound.
As can be seen, in addition to the acoustic signaling, the alarm clock also provides a circuit, e.g. B. a lighting circuit, interrupted at a predetermined point in time if the same was previously closed by means of a handle v, or the circuit is closed at a predetermined point in time when the same was opened.
It goes without saying that the subject matter of the invention is independent of the alarm clock and in particular of the triggering device a, b, c, c ', c ″ of the same.
PATENT CLAIMS:
1. Alarm clock with a device which closes or opens an electrical circuit at the desired time, characterized in that the release device of the 'eckerwerkes which acts at a predetermined time releases a drive connected to an axis (i), which axis is driven by a retractable spring so that at the set point in time the axis (i) can be rotated, this axis with an electrical
Switch is connected in such a way that the electrical switch is switched over by turning the axis (i).
