MASSAGE DEVICE The invention relates to a massage device according to claim 1.

It is known that muscular tension can greatly reduce the quality of life of people and even cause chronic pain. As a rule, muscular tension is eliminated by targeted massages of the affected muscle groups by qualified specialists. Back pain in particular is a painful issue that is greatly intensified by sedentary activities, for example by working on a computer screen, and is increasingly coming into focus. A lack of exercise and a bad sitting and/or lying posture are often responsible for tension occurring in the back and neck area. Relieving postures further promote cramping of adjacent muscles, which in turn can cause pain. Massage can also be used for other purposes, such as to help muscles regain strength after an injury or to counteract scarring after an injury.

In order to solve the muscular tension in the back, pelvis, legs and the like yourself and without qualified personnel, self-massage devices such as massage rollers, so-called fascia rollers, can be used. Fascia are connective tissue structures that envelop muscles and organs and have a supporting and protective function. Furthermore, most pain symptoms come from the fascial tissue, as this is where a large number of pain receptors are located. In the case of functional disorders of the fascia, local hardening can occur, which can limit a person's ability to move. Fascia rollers can be used to influence the structure of the fascia from the outside and achieve better mobility and strength. As a rule, pressure is applied to hardening in the skeletal muscles by means of the massage rollers in order to relieve muscle tension and increase blood circulation. This practice is known under the technical term Self Myofascial Release (SMR). In this way, the original ability of the fascia to stretch in relation to the muscles can be restored. The massage roller is rolled over the muscles with pressure and, if necessary, the massage roller is pressed on the area of tension for a defined period of time.

None of the documents mentioned discloses a massage device in which a lever mechanism that can be loaded with weights is provided in order to exert a predetermined force acting vertically to the ground on the sliding carriage. The counterweights mentioned in the documents are only used to balance the massage device so that it holds in the respective position.

A disadvantage of conventional massage rollers is that people have to put themselves on the massage rollers for self-massage and roll their bodies on them in order to achieve a desired effect. This can be a problem, especially for people with physical disabilities, such as older or injured people, because the fascia is thin and sensitive

and excessive unrolling or uncontrolled unrolling with excessive pressure can cause damage. Furthermore, due to physical limitations, older people or injured people often cannot roll their backs on massage rollers on the floor. While it is possible to position massage rollers against a wall and roll along them, this is also problematic for the elderly or those with injuries due to physical limitations. The object of the invention is therefore to provide a massage device of the type mentioned, with which the disadvantages mentioned can be avoided, with which a person can be massaged safely, specifically and with little effort.

According to the invention this is achieved by the features of patent claim 1.

This results in the advantage that a person can be massaged safely and with little effort. This eliminates the need for qualified specialists, especially for a massage of the back muscles and the fascia surrounding the back muscles. At least one massage device 4 for massaging a user is attached to the Gileit sled 3 . The lever mechanism 6 can be loaded with weights 5 in order to exert a predetermined force on the Gileit slide 3 that acts vertically to the ground. As a result, the force is also exerted on the massage device 4 fastened to the slide carriage 3 . This predeterminable force acting vertically to the ground on the slide 3 also determines the contact pressure of the massage device 4 on the user during the massage. It can be provided that the lever mechanism 6 comprises a receiving device 9 for receiving at least one weight 5 .

The receiving device 9 can preferably include an extension, in particular a rod, onto which the weights can be pushed.

Alternatively, the receiving device 9 can comprise a weight block and specific weights can be selected. Such weight blocks are known in principle from the weight training sector, from machines in fitness centers.

It can particularly preferably be provided that the at least one massage device 4 is fastened to a movement device 7 that can be moved horizontally to the ground and can be predetermined. In this way, a simple movement of the massage device 4 is made possible. As a result, the user to be massaged can lie statically on a couch, while the massage device 4 can be moved horizontally over the person by means of the movement device 7 .

Alternatively, the user could lie on a horizontally movable bed while the massage device 4 remains static in the horizontal direction.

The movement device 7 can preferably be guided on the sliding carriage 3 and can be moved horizontally to the ground in a predetermined manner in the operating state of the massage device 1 .

Preferably, the movement device 7 is movable within the frame of the frame, which has a positive effect on the stability of the massage device.

It can preferably be provided that movement device 7 has at least one linear guide. In the operating state, this linear guide is preferably aligned horizontally with respect to the ground. This enables a stable and simple construction of the moving device 7 .
