Herkömmliche Hohlwände bestehen aus zwei Betonplatten, welche durch Baustahlstangen distanziert werden. Diese Betonwände sind nicht selbsttragend und müssen durch Schüttbeton statisch verfestigt werden. Dadurch sind diese Doppelwandplatten nicht wärmegedämmt und auch die Oberflächen sind unbehandelt. Daher muss für einen Wärmeschutz auf Außenwänden zusätzliches Material angebracht werden (Vollwärmeschutz) bzw. bei Innenwänden ein zusätzlicher Wandbelag aufgebracht werden. Die benachbarten zwei Hohlräume sind mit Luft gefüllt, haben aber auch je eine Leitung (Rohr) welches mit dem Kühlkreislauf eines Kälteerzeugers (zB. PRIO Anmeldung DFsol ThermieSolarKollektor) verbunden ist. Bei Heizbetrieb überträgt das gut leitende Metall des M-Gurtes die Temperatur vom Primärkreislauf zu den zwei Hohlräumen und erhitzt diese. Bei Kühlbetrieb ist der mittlere Hohlraum funktionslos - die Wärme bzw Kälte wird direkt in die luftführenden Hohlräume eingebracht und weiter durch Schlitze in Wand und Decke in die Räume geblasen. Die M- Gurte der Bodenplatte sind insgesamt - also drei Hohlräume mit Wärmleitmaterial als Speicher gefüllt und werden durch den Primärkreislauf erhitzt. Da die Menge und Volumen der M-Gurte im Boden beträchtlich ist, dient diese Lösung als Latentspeicher und Wärmetauscher. There are three cavities due to the shape of the M-belt.
