EMI1.1

<Desc/Clms Page number 2>

EMI1.1
The invention relates to a self-collecting telephone station with a drop flap interrupter connected to the inductor circuit, the fall or closure of which is brought about by means of a relay connected to the line circuit and consists in that, in addition to the line lines leading to the inductor, a branch line to the relay of the drop flap interrupter is provided , and that interrupters are switched on in these lines, the closing contacts of which are arranged on a linkage under spring action and connected to a step lever, which is actuated by stepping on the telephone booth and by which in the normal position the relay circuit which is only used to call up the telephone station is kept switched on,
but is switched off when entering the phone booth.
At the same time, the invention according to this step lever linkage carries the one terminal including the contact piece of a branch line of the inductor circuit, which is connected in parallel to the drop flap interrupter and the second terminal with closing contact sits on the coin lever and is pressed against the first-mentioned contact by the coin insertion. whereby both the dropping of the coin into the main cash box and the pivoting of the coin lever into the out of the

(Fig. 2) of the line are guided and the drop flap interrupter connected to the inductor circuit b. b1, the flap b of which is locked in the raised position by the armature c of the relay d switched on in the line 1, 2 (FIG. 1). One branch of the line enters the apparatus at terminal e and leads to one prong, an interrupter fork,

is switched on (Fig. 1).
Opposite the two forks g, g1 are two other forks h, h1 with prongs that are likewise mutually insulated. The fork h is connected to the line terminal e with one prong.
EMI1.5
or the linkage l connected to the floor of the telephone booth designed as a step lever. In the normal position (before calling or before entering the cell, Fig. 1)
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
the contacts i are kept switched on by the springs m in the forks g, g1, but switched off when entering the cell and at the same time - by means of the contact pieces k - the contact is established in the fork pair h, hl (FIG. 2).
The two parts of the flap interrupter b, bl are connected by lines 6, 7 via two clamps o with two separate clamps p, p, whose closing contact piece q is provided on a lever t protruding into the coin insertion channel s, which is only released when it is inserted through the Coin caused pivoting establishes contact between terminals p and pl, but holds it interrupted in every other position. By connecting (5, 5) the microphone n and the battery to the terminals o of the line 6, 7 this is used to form the otherwise closed microphone circuit and when the flap t is switched off with the inductor line, the microphone circuit is also interrupted at the same time.
One clamp p of the branch line sits on the rod 1, the other clamp p1
EMI2.1
Linkage l is equipped with a stop x below the end of the lever, by means of which the lever pivoted by the coin (dotted in Fig. 2) when it goes up due to the spring action (after leaving the cell) pivoted further, so that the coin is now released from the lever can fall down. The linkage 1 is expediently provided with a shoulder y, which abuts against a fixed projection z on the housing for the purpose of limiting the linkage movement.
The branch of the lines or inductor line which includes the earpiece and which is automatically switched on in a known manner by hanging the earpiece from the hook is not shown. The inductor axis t carries a thumb u or the like. Which in the path of a lever; f protrudes (Fig. 3), the suitably bent end of which is located below the drop flap b, so that when the inductor axis t is rotated, the thumb u hits the lever and pivots it. As a result, the flap b is raised and locked over the hook-shaped end of the armature c, so that the direct connection between the two interrupter parts bund bl is interrupted.
After experience has shown that the crank of the axle is released with the hand outstretched, i.e. always in the (rear) position facing away from the person, it is advisable to arrange the thumb u on the axle so that in this position, the idle position of the axle, extends far from the lever IV (see. Fig. 3), so that the inductor current generated when turning the crank is really strong before the thumb hits the lever and the connection b, b. the inductor line interrupts.
EMI2.2
gives or lets fold. so that the connection in the breaker b, b1 is established. If the called party actuates the inductor to ring the ring after the end of the conversation, the flap b1 is raised and locked by means of the arm w and the connection is interrupted again.
The entry of a person into the cell has the effect that the linkage 1 counter to the action of the spring; M is pulled down and thereby the contact in the forks g, gl is interrupted, whereas the contact is established in the forks h, h1 (FIG. 2). As a result, the line branch 1, 2 (FIG. 1) including the relay d is switched off. In order to be able to call the central office, the inductor circuit must now be closed. Since the main line is interrupted at b-b1, this can only be achieved by closing the secondary line 6, 7. This branch line was open in the normal configuration (FIG. 1), since, despite the lever r pivoted up, the contact piece q does not reach the contact p because of the elevated position of l.
When entering the cell, the lever r had reached the horizontal position (FIG. 2) by lowering l and x. To establish contact between p and q, a coin must now be inserted into channel s. When the coin falls, it reaches the lever r and swivels it until the clamp p1 makes contact with the stationary one
Terminal p, as illustrated in phantom in FIG. Now the inductor line is closed and the current generated by activating the inductor to call it goes through the
EMI2.3
current through line 1 via the fork hl.
The connection established between the terminals p, p and the branches 7 as a result of the coin being inserted has the effect that the inductor circuit is closed, despite the fact that the switched-on interrupter b, bl is open and thus ringing on and off is enabled. In this way, as long as the cell is not left, it is possible if the telephone connection
<Desc / Clms Page number 3>
was made incorrectly or could not be made at all - because the called party is "busy", etc. - to be called up again. If the earpiece is unhooked from the hook after calling, then a part of the inductor (e.g.
Line 3, 4) is switched off or replaced by the earpiece circuit and at the same time the battery is switched on in the microphone circuit (not shown).

Branch line to the relay of the drop flap interrupter is provided, which lines are equipped with interrupters, <h, h,), whose closing contacts (i or k) on a spring action (m) or the like. With a step lever or the step lever formed bottom of the telephone booth connected linkage (l) are arranged through which

held, but is switched off when entering the phone booth.
2. Self-collecting telephone station with drop flap interrupter switched into the inductor circuit, which is closed by means of a relay connected to the line circuit, characterized in that a branch line is connected in the inductor circuit parallel to the interruption point of the drop flap, which is closed by contacts (p, q), which or on a step lever linkage and a coin collecting lever (r) are arranged in such a way that the branch line (6, 7) is closed after entering the cell by inserting coins with the breaker open (b, bl), so that the inductor circuit also at the calling station can be closed, and also, as soon as the telephone connection is incorrectly or not at all, can be called again.
