Diese werden nach einer weiteren halben Drehung des Blockes wieder von den Wulsten der ersten Walze fortgestreckt usf. Jede halbe Blockumdrehung, d. i. jedes neue Zusammentreffen einer Blockumfangstelle mit einer Walze zeigt denselben Vorgang wie das Ausstrecken unter Hammerfinnen, wobei das Versetzen der Wulste und das Verschieben des Blockes in Achsrichtung dem Versetzen des Hammerschlages gleichkommt.
Der Block wird also durch wellenförmiges, gleichmässiges, sowohl innen als aussen gleichzeitig stattfindendes Fortbewegen des Materials in ununterbrochenem kontinuierlichen Ptozess nach und nach. in Achsrichtung ausgestreckt. Das Vorwärtsfliessen des Materials ist naturgemäss an der die Walzen verlassenden Stelle des Blockes ungleich grösser als am entgegengesetzten Ende, weil gleich grosse Materialmengen durch ungleich grosse Querschnitte treten.
Die verschiedene Grösse und Form der einzelnen Wulste, wodurch sie in ganzer Dimension der Wandstärke einwirken, ermöglicht, dass das Material gleichmässig, innen und aussen zugleich in Längsachsenrichtlmg ausgestreckt, also nur im Querschnitt verkleinert wird, ohne dass ein gegenseitiges Längsverschieben oder Quer versehieben benachbarter Fasern stattfindet.
Es ergibt sich somit : Der Hohlblock wird lediglich durch ruhigen, gleichmässigen Druck aussen und innen zugleich, ohne Faserverdrehung, Knicken oder Reissen einzig in Längsachsenrichtung ausgestreckt. Hierdurch ist die Möglichkeit gegeben, aus einem noch nicht, oder nur wenig erachteten Rohmaterial ein Fertigprodukt herzustellen.
