Control device for crude oil firing.
The subject of the present invention is a control device for crude oil furnaces in which the oil and air supply to the furnace are controlled simultaneously by connecting the needle valves controlling the oil supply with the parts controlling the air supply by means of a linkage in such a way that they both open and close at the same time. The boom can be moved by hand or automatically. Furthermore, a constantly burning kindling flame is provided which, after the fire has been switched off, allows it to be re-lit automatically as soon as the oil and air access is released again.
The drawing shows an exemplary embodiment of the device.
The oil is fed to the furnace through a drip pipe 1, to which the oil flow is regulated by needle valves: 2, and falls onto a grate 3. Opposite this is a register 4 for regulating the air supply to the furnace. The register consists of a number of L-shaped bent plates 5, which are rotatable about axes 6 parallel to the bends,

on a vertical rod 7, the arrangement being supported in such a way that in the event that the rod / is lifted, air gaps between the plates become free, which decrease in width from bottom to top. The air is supplied through an opening 8 below and behind the plates 5, and the air reaches the grate through the gaps between the bent front edges of the plates.
The control device forming the subject of the present invention, which is particularly suitable for heating rooms in which only a slightly fluctuating temperature is to be maintained, and in which the furnace is controlled according to the temperature of the room, can be used with any type of furnace can be used and consists in the assumed embodiment in the following device. The rod 10 connects the rod 7 for adjusting the plates 5 with a lever 9 which engages the needle valves 2.
On this rod two sleeves 11, 12 are attached, in which springs 1, 3, 14 are attached, which on the one hand against the rod 10 and on the other hand against sliding pieces 15, 16 in the sleeves
EMI1.2
caused friction, the rod 10 takes with it. This will further gel) the needle valves 2 and the plates. 5 upwards and the air gaps between them enlarged. The
The development of heat is thus increased by simultaneously increasing the oil and air supply to the furnace.
If the temperature of the room rises above the prescribed limit, the pin 22 of the thermostat lies against the extension 20 and lifts the slide 18 and thus the rod 7, whereby the needle valves and the air gaps between the plates are closed and the furnace is turned off.
By adjusting the sliding pieces 15, ri, 16 by hand, the temperatures at which the thermostat moves the rod lu, as described, can be determined as desired. In order to make these temperatures visible, the sleeves 17, 72 can be provided with divisions 24 on which pointers 25 moved by the sliders 15, 16 play.

In order to be able to ignite the fire automatically after switching off the firing with the subsequent opening of the needle valves and the air supply through the grate, a constantly burning ignition burner 26 of any device is provided in the lower part of the firing, which is fed through a pipe 27 from the container with 01 and 'the air
EMI2.1
Grate plate is still a little above the floor of the furnace and thus leaves an air path to the ignition burner.
