Abstract

Production of a new herbal composition (I) for combating unwanted pregnancy involves combining Cimicifuga racemosa L. (i.e. bugbane) and Artemisia vulgaris L. (i.e. wormwood). An Independent claim is included for the use of a combination of Cimicifuga racemosa L. and Artemisia vulgaris L. for the production of a medicament for combating unwanted pregnancy.

   Die Erfindung betnfft ein Verfahren zur Herstellung eines neuen pflanzlichen Mittels gegen ungewollte Schwangerschaften. Die Erfindung betrifft auch die Verwendung eines solchen Mittels zur Herstellung eines Arzneimittels. 



   Es sind eine Reihe von Mitteln, insbesondere Arzeimitteln bzw. Pharmazeutika gegen ungewollte Schwangerschaften bekannt Der Nachteil dieser bekannten Mittel besteht allerdings oftmals in nachteiligen Nebenwirkungen physischer und/oder psychischer Natur. 



   Aufgabe der Erfindung ist nun die Schaffung eines Mittels gegen ungewollte Schwangerschaften auf pflanzlicher Basis. Das Verfahren Ist gemäss vorliegender Erfindung dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass man Cimicifuga racemosa   (L.)   und Artemisia vulgaris   (L.)   kombiniert. 



   Der Vorteil dieses neuen pflanzlichen Mittels gegen ungewollte Schwangerschaften besteht in seiner, sowohl physisch als auch psychisch gesehen, völlig nebenwirkungsfreien Anwendbarkeit. 



   Die Erfindung betrifft auch die Verwendung der Kombination von Cimicifuga racemosa (L. ) und Artemisia vulgaris   (L.)   zur Herstellung eines Arzneimittels gegen ungewollte Schwangerschaften. 



   Das neue pflanzliche Mittel, das vorzugsweise aus einer Kombination der beiden Bestandteile zu gleichen Teilen besteht, kann als infusionsgerechte Losung, als Tee oder Dekokt verabreicht werden. Die Dosis beträgt vorzugsweise einer Verabreichung   dreimal/Tag,   maximal sechs Tage lang. 



   Die Verabreichung des   erfindungsgemässen   Mittels soll an dem Tag, an dem die Menstruation erwartet wird, begonnen werden. Das die Kombination von Cimicifuga racemosa   (L.)   und Artemisa vulgaris (L. ) enthaltende Arzneimittel kann als Pulver, Dragee oder Kapsel, gegebenenfalls unter Verwendung üblicher Adjuvantien, vorliegen. 



   AUSFÜHRUNGSBEISPIEL 
Radix Cimicifugae 4g decoct und
Herba Artemisiae 2g infus (Volumsprozent   50 50)   werden zu einer Gabe verarbeitet
3 Gaben pro Tag, maximal 6 Tage lang. 



   In 98% der Fälle setzt die Menstruation nach dem zweiten Tag ein, verlauft normal, der nächste Zyklus ebenfalls.

   A number of agents, in particular drugs or pharmaceuticals against unwanted pregnancies, are known. However, the disadvantage of these known agents often consists of disadvantageous side effects of a physical and / or psychological nature.



   The object of the invention is now to create an agent against unwanted pregnancies on a plant basis. The method according to the present invention is characterized in that Cimicifuga racemosa (L.) and Artemisia vulgaris (L.) are combined.



   The advantage of this new herbal remedy for unwanted pregnancies is that it is completely free of side effects, both physically and psychologically.



   The invention also relates to the use of the combination of Cimicifuga racemosa (L.) and Artemisia vulgaris (L.) for the manufacture of a medicament against unwanted pregnancies.



   The new herbal product, which preferably consists of a combination of the two components in equal parts, can be administered as a solution suitable for infusion, as tea or as a decoction. The dose is preferably one administration three times / day, for a maximum of six days.



   The administration of the agent according to the invention should begin on the day on which menstruation is expected. The medicament containing the combination of Cimicifuga racemosa (L.) and Artemisa vulgaris (L.) can be in the form of a powder, dragee or capsule, optionally using customary adjuvants.
