The invention relates to a support, in particular for supporting a bathtub, from two screw parts which are connected to one another in an adjustable manner and which have support plates at the opposite ends, one of which, the spindle part, a threaded spindle attached to the support plate and the other, the mother part, have a tube profile starting from the support plate with a nut thread section.
In order to support bathtubs on the foundation and to prevent deformation under load, particularly in the case of plastic tubs, it is known according to EP 0717951 A1 to provide support supports in the corner or edge areas of a bathtub. Such support brackets, however, require a rather massive construction for reasons of strength, they are unwieldy and they cannot be fixed in their set length. In addition, it is not possible to compensate for unevenness between the support plates and the foundation or the bathtub and thus to ensure that the support bracket is positioned correctly.
The invention is therefore based on the object of providing a support bracket of the type described at the outset which, on the one hand, allows a bathtub or the like to be moved quickly and easily, and which on the other hand is distinguished by its secure supporting action.
The invention solves this problem in that the threaded spindle of the spindle part is hollow throughout from the support plate to the spindle end and the tubular profile of the nut part has an access opening for foaming the support parts.
This configuration enables a skillful and safe use of the support, the length of the support being first adjusted by screwing the support parts and arranged in the places provided in the edge area of the bathtub or the like, whereupon the cavities of the support are placed over the Access opening can be foamed with a foam plastic, which fixes the support in its length adjustment, increases its rigidity and load-bearing capacity and, through the foam emerging in the support plate area, also ensures a firm connection between the support and the tub, regardless of any gaps.
If the cavity of the threaded spindle opens into a recess in the support plate of the spindle part and / or the support plate of the nut part forms an outlet opening for the tubular profile, a precisely fitting, firm fit of the support bracket is ensured, since everything between the support bracket, the bathtub and the foundation may still be existing spaces can also be filled with foam plastic. Subsequent slipping or adjustment of the support is no longer possible and permanent positioning of the bathtub when moving is guaranteed.
In order to increase the bending stiffness of the support, the spindle part can have a guide tube extension coaxially surrounding the threaded spindle and overlapping the tube profile of the nut part.
If the space between the guide tube extension and the threaded spindle is connected to the hollow space of the threaded spindle via at least one radial bore, this space is also foamed together with the hollow spindle and the support strength is further increased.
Advantageously, the access opening of the tubular profile is assigned a foam supply device with connecting lines for the simultaneous connection of several support brackets, so that it is possible to foam out several support brackets together. If the hose lines are also somewhat stronger, these hose lines serve as struts between the individual support brackets after foaming, which increases the support effect of the support brackets.
The use of the support supports as a load-bearing part of a support wall, preferably made of foam, the support supports being foamed first and then being foamed into the support wall, results in a particularly advantageous bathtub cladding which also serves to support the bathtub.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown schematically, namely show
1 is a support according to the invention in axial section and
2 and 3 a bathtub offset by means of support supports according to the invention in side view and in plan view.
A support bracket 1 comprises two screw parts which are connected to one another in an adjustable manner and which have support plates 2, 3 at the ends facing away from one another, one of which, the spindle part 4,
<Desc / Clms Page number 2>
a threaded spindle 5 attached to the support plate 2 and the other, the nut part 6, have a tubular profile 7 starting from the support plate 3 with a nut thread section 8. The threaded spindle 5 is hollow and is screw-adjustable in the nut thread 8, the spindle part 4 engaging over the tubular profile 7 with a guide tube extension 9 coaxial with the threaded spindle 5.
The tubular profile 7 has an access opening 10 for the introduction of foam, so that the tubular profile 7, the cavity 11 of the threaded spindle 5 and the intermediate space 13 connected to the cavity 11 via radial bores 12 can be foamed between the guide projection 9 and the threaded spindle 5.
The length of the support bracket is adjusted and, after being displaced via the access opening 10, is foamed using foam plastic S. Since the cavity 11 of the threaded spindle 5 opens into a recess 14 in the support plate 2 and the support plate 3 of the nut part 6 forms an outlet opening 15 for the tubular profile 7, all the free spaces still remaining between the support bracket and the underbody on the one hand and the support bracket and bath tub 16 on the other hand Foam plastic S are filled, whereby the individual parts are glued together and a secure fit of the bathtub 16 is guaranteed.
One possible application of the support supports can be found in the exemplary embodiment according to FIGS. 2 and 3, accordingly a bathtub 16 has rigid support feet 17 on its underside in addition to the support supports 1 according to the invention. The individual support supports 1 are connected to one another by means of hose lines 18 for the foam supply.
The support brackets prevent deformation, especially of plastic bathtubs, and can also be retrofitted to compensate for deformations that have already occurred or to prevent further deformations.
