Abstract

Method for operating a heating system 1 with a stepwise or continuously modulating heating appliance and with a circulating pump 16 which is switchable at least in two steps and is arranged in a line 6 connecting the heating appliance to a heating system 5. In order to save auxiliary energy, there is provision for increasing the rotational speed of the circulating pump 16 from a low value of, for example, 750 revolutions per minute to a higher value of, for example, 1850 revolutions per minute when, during the operation of the heating appliance, the actual value of the forward-flow temperature, with the exception of a fixed value of, for example, 1 to 3K, has approached the desired value of a desired temperature, the rotational speed of the pump being reduced to a lower value when the forward-flow temperature reaches the desired temperature. <IMAGE>

Description

   <Desc/Clms Page number 1>

   <Desc / Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a method for operating a heating system according to the preamble of the independent claim, according to Patent No. 402 342.

When operating such a heating system, the circulating pump is generally kept in operation at a constant speed. If necessary, the circulation pump is switched off during burner downtimes, during lowering times or during summer operation.

However, this still results in the disadvantage of a correspondingly high proportion of auxiliary energy which has to be provided for the operation of the circulation pump.

In order to avoid this disadvantage, it is proposed according to patent no. 402 342 in a method of the type mentioned at the outset that when the heater is in operation, the speed of the circulation pump from a low value, for example 750 rpm, to a higher value Example 1. 850 min- ', is increased when the actual value of the flow temperature has approached a set temperature, for example 1 to 3 K, for example.

These measures ensure that the circulation pump is operated during the predominant part of the operating time of the heating system at a low speed of, for example, 750 min-1 or is at a standstill and therefore only requires a correspondingly low auxiliary energy requirement.

When the heater is in operation, the circulation pump is operated at a low speed of, for example, 750 rpm, as long as the difference between the target supply temperature and the actual supply temperature is above a specified value, regardless of the operating state of the heater, i.e. regardless of whether the heater is operated at full load or at partial load.

Increasing the speed of the circulation pump shortly before the target flow temperature is reached counteracts an increase in the switching frequency of the heater. Thus, by increasing the speed of the circulation pump to, for example, 1. 850 min, the water-side temperature spread on a heat exchanger of the heater is reduced. As a result, the upper switching point, i.e. the target flow temperature is reached later due to the smaller spread and thus more energy is introduced into the entire heating system per burner run, which means that even after the heater is switched off, the lower switching point, at which the heater is started again, is reached later.

Accordingly, the aim of the invention is to improve this method according to patent no. 402 342 in such a way that the switching frequency of the heating device is as low as possible in order to increase the efficiency of the heating device and to reduce pollutant emissions.

According to the invention, this is achieved in a method according to patent no. 402 342 by the characterizing features of the independent patent claim.

The proposed measures ensure that, on the one hand, by increasing the speed of the circulation pump, as already mentioned, more heating energy is fed into the heating system during the burner running time, and by reducing the speed of the circulation pump during the rest of the time, the heating system only gets the energy accordingly slowly withdrawn and the auxiliary energy requirement minimized.

Due to the features of claim 2, due to the predominantly low pump speed of, for example, 750 mm-1, in addition to the reduction in the auxiliary energy requirement, there is the advantage of reducing the switching frequency of the heating device. In addition, the low speed of the circulating pump that prevails at the start of the heating device in a new cycle largely prevents the formation of condensate in a burner-operated heater and a reduction or avoidance of flow noises.

The invention will now be explained in more detail with reference to the drawing.

A heating system 1 has a heat exchanger 3 acted upon by a burner 2, which is connected via a flow line 4 to a heating system 5, which has radiators, for example.

This heating system 5 is connected via a return line 6 to the inlet of the heat exchanger 3, the return line 6 being formed from a connecting line 7 leading to a circulating pump 16 and a connecting line 10 connecting to the circulating pump 16, which produces the connection to the heat exchanger 3.

The burner 2 can be supplied with gas via a gas line 15 in which a proportionally working gas valve 18 provided with a drive 17 is arranged.

The drive 17 of the valve 18 is connected to a control unit 19 via a line 23. A flow temperature sensor 20, which is arranged in the flow line 4, is also connected to the control unit 19 via a line 21. Furthermore, a motor 22, which drives the circulation pump 16 and whose speed can be changed, is connected via a line 25 to the control unit 19, which in turn is connected via a line 26 to a desired value transmitter 27.

The control unit 19 determines the difference between the actual flow temperature detected by the temperature sensor 20 and the set value of the flow temperature determined by the setpoint generator 27. The circulation pump 16 is operated when the burner 2 is operating at a low speed of, for example, 750 rpm, as long as the difference between the target value of the flow temperature and the actual flow temperature does not fall below a certain minimum value, approximately 1 to 3 K .

If this point is reached, the pump is operated at a higher speed of, for example, 1,850 min '. The performance of the burner 2 can also be reduced by throttling the valve 8.

If the burner 2 is switched off when the desired flow temperature is reached, the pump continues to be operated at high speed for a predetermined short period of time, for example a few seconds, in order to remove the heat from the heat exchanger 3. Thereafter, the circulation pump 16 is operated for a certain time at a low speed and / or stopped to save energy. These times are stored in the setpoint generator 27.

If there is a heat request again, the circulation pump 16 is operated at low speed during the start of the burner 2. This operation of the pump 16 is maintained until the difference between the actual flow temperature and the target value of the flow temperature has dropped to a predetermined low value.

The speed of rotation of the circulation pump 16 can be increased in stages or continuously.

FIG. 2a shows the course of the flow temperature in a heating system according to FIG. 1, which is operated with a circulating pump 16 running at a consistently low speed of, for example, 750 min-1. It can clearly be seen that there is frequent oscillation of the flow temperature between a switch-off temperature and a switch-on temperature for the heating device.

This can also be clearly seen from FIG. 2b, and from FIG. 2c it can be seen that the circulation pump 16 is continuously operated at a low speed.

3a shows the course of the flow temperature during operation of a heating device according to the invention. In this case, the heating device is switched on when the burner has reached the switch-on temperature, and, as can be seen from FIG. 3c, the circulation pump 16 is operated at a low speed.

If the actual temperature approaches the flow temperature to 3 to 1 K of the target temperature or the switch-off temperature, the speed of the circulation pump 16 is increased to, for example, 1,850 min-1, as a result of which the flow temperature drops somewhat and then slowly rises again until the switch-off temperature is reached.

If this is the case, the burner is switched off and the speed of the circulation pump 16 is reduced to the low speed. After that, the flow temperature briefly exceeds the switch-off temperature and then drops slowly until the switch-on temperature is reached. If this is reached, the switching cycle is repeated and the burner is started, but the circulation pump is operated at the low speed.
