AT 400 809 B Oie invention relates to an injection syringe with a tubular housing for receiving an ampoule and with an injection needle provided on one end face and with a plunger shaft protruding on the other end face for actuating the syringe, the end of the housing having the injection needle carries a sleeve and the sleeve is also axially displaceably mounted on the housing and the displacement corresponds approximately to the length of the injection needle and the free end face of the advanced sleeve is slightly in front of the tip of the injection needle and the displaceably mounted sleeve is preferably moved frictionally on the housing or is held. Injection syringes of this type are known from US Pat. Nos. 5,057,088, 5,045,066, 5,019,051 and 5,013,302, for example, for protecting the needle or for protecting against the needle. A diabetic patient usually administers the insulin that is vital for him with such syringes. In the advanced stage of the disease, insulin doses must be administered very frequently. Care should be taken to ensure that the syringe is attached to various parts of the body surface. The invention is now based on the idea of designing the syringe in such a way that it can be used to mark the point at which the syringe was attached. To solve this problem, the invention provides that at least the free end face of the slidably mounted sleeve in the manner of a stamp surface consists of a liquid or pasty dye-accepting material or that the wall of the slidably mounted sleeve for receiving a dye is hollow and the free end face of the Sleeve is translucent. In this case, the end face of the advanced sleeve serves to achieve this mark by making a color mark on the skin during injection with this end face of the sleeve, which then indicates and identifies the point at which the insulin dose was administered . The drawing illustrates the invention in an exemplary embodiment, without thereby restricting the invention to this embodiment. 1 and 2 show a view of the syringe with different positions of the sleeve relative to the housing, the sleeve being shown in a tear in FIG. 2; Fig. 3 is an end view, looking in the direction of arrow A in Fig. 2. The insulin syringe has a tubular housing 1 with a clip 2. The injection needle 3 is provided on one end. On the other end of the housing 1, the plunger shaft 4 of the syringe plunger protrudes. On the front side of the housing 1 equipped with the injection needle 3, a sleeve 5, which is cylindrical here, is slidably mounted. This sleeve 5 is held frictionally on the housing 1, i.e., it can be moved with little effort and automatically maintains the position assumed due to the aforementioned frictional engagement. The displacement path W of the sleeve 5 corresponds approximately to the length of the injection needle 3, preferably the penetration depth of the injection needle, the free end face 6 of the advanced sleeve 5 being somewhat in front of the tip of the injection needle 3 (FIG. 2). The displacement W of the sleeve 5 is expediently limited by stops. If the patient administers a syringe, the frictionally held sleeve 5 is initially pushed forward so that it assumes the position shown in FIG. 2 relative to the injection needle 3, ie its end face 6 is somewhat in front of the tip of the injection needle 3. Now the free end face of the sleeve 5 is wetted with paint, for example by pressing this end face 6 onto a color pad. At least the material in the end region of the sleeve 5 is such that it can absorb this color. Liquid or pasty colors are expediently used. Now the sleeve 5 is pushed back (Fig. 1) so that the needle is free in the circumference of the penetration depth and the syringe is attached and the needle is inserted, until the end face 6 of the sleeve 5 now rests on the patient's skin . Then the plunger is actuated in the usual way. After removing the syringe, the injection site is now surrounded by a colored line. In a further embodiment of the invention, the sleeve 5 can have a hollow wall, and the cavity in the wall of the sleeve 5 is filled with paint. Either a slit-shaped, self-contained opening for the color exit can be provided on the front side 6, or possibly point-shaped openings for the color exit are distributed over the front side 6. In this case there is no need to use a color pad. In this case, the sleeve 5 is expediently interchangeably arranged on the housing 1, and when the dye in the wall of the sleeve 5 has been used up, this sleeve 5 can be replaced by a new sleeve filled with dye. 1.
