Abstract

A method for the synchronous recording of information signals on a recording medium and, in particular, a method for the synchronous post-audio dubbing of a pre- recorded magnetic video tape consists in the fact that, before the synchronous recording is started, a start- related time code is recorded onto the recording medium to be pre-recorded. This enables a rapid access to the desired start address of a magnetic video tape, without recording a VITC signal.

for film sound editing on AUDIO SPUR 1 and 2 using the insert editing process. The time code recording is retained. In the following, compatible with the start-related time code, an international tape (noise band without speech) can be produced by each dubbing studio. Subsequently, the mixing can be done with an appropriate language.

Also, controlled by the time code information that is now continuously start-up-related from 09 59 50 00 in every recording, the video tape machine or a film projection machine can be reproduced in the studio from the standard start point, which, due to the constantly identical address, can be reproduced at any time , switched on synchronously and the sound, that is, with the proven methods of film technology, can be mixed ready for broadcast.

Another advantage is that with the help of a time code reader the length already recorded (from the beginning of the picture ZERO) or the remaining length of the tape can be read.

It is also easy to insert additional signals at any desired point on the tape or to delete certain points and record other signals there.

With the application of the invention it can be achieved that a standardized start is achieved in each studio without special programming or made synchronously reproducible.

The 6 s ramp-up time was first determined with regard to the currently used film projection machines. Because in a modern studio a very large number of machines are synchronized

Of course, other time values for the start address are also conceivable, each taking into account the technically necessary lead time. The condition for this is always an exact start of the information recording at the time value 10 00 00 00 followed by a continuously increasing time value.

    PATENT CLAIMS:
1. A method for the synchronous recording of information signals on a recording medium, characterized in that a start-related time code is recorded on the recording medium to be recorded before the start of the synchronous recording.

The method for synchronous recording according to claim 1, characterized in that the start-related time code is a longitudinal time code, the recording of which at a predetermined, constantly the same start address with the time value 09 59 50 00 or 09 59 54 00 corresponding to a storage medium advance of 10 or 6 s until the start of the recording of the information signals in synchronism with an optical START display. 3. 3. The method for synchronous recording according to claim 1 or 2, wherein the start-related time code is recorded on a MASTER-STARTVORLAUFBAND, characterized in that this calibrated MASTER-STARTVORLAUF is transferred to the recording medium to be recorded as part of a normal copying process.
