The invention relates to a strand guide roller for a continuous casting plant for supporting, bending, straightening and / or deforming a continuously cast strand, in particular a steel slab, with at least one roller jacket body which can be rotated by means of bearings on an axle mounted on brackets on the strand guide frame is arranged, and with a force measuring device which indicates the roller load via strain gauges.
A strand guide roller of this type is known from AT-PS No. 359666. To determine the forces acting on the roll from the strand, force measuring devices are provided in the known strand guide roller, which are inserted in a bushing arranged in the strand guide frame, on which the holders of the axle rest. Although this known device is accurate
It is possible to determine the forces acting on the support rollers from the strand, but installation in a continuous caster requires specially designed supports for the strand guide roller and a strand guide frame adapted to the bushes.
Contact between the support blocks of the roll and the support structure can influence the display values or the measurement results, which can make it difficult to assign the display values or measurement results or to determine load peaks at certain points on a roll.
With these load cells installed in the support structure, it can happen that through
Contamination (water, scale) there is an impairment of the measurement result due to packaging of the measuring device.
The invention has for its object a strand guide role described above
To create a way in which a precise determination of the display values or measurement results and an assignment of the display values or measurement results to the points at which they occur is possible in a particularly simple manner, and without any modifications to the supporting structure and to require the brackets can be installed in existing systems.
According to the invention, this object is achieved in that the bearings are supported on a sleeve at least partially at a distance from one another and to form a gap, and the sleeve is supported on the axle via at least two support collars arranged at a distance from the bearings in the longitudinal direction of the roller, wherein at least one strain gauge is provided on the sleeve at a distance from the support collars.
Because the strain gauges are integrated in the roll, the roll provided with the force measuring device can be installed in a continuous casting system instead of a conventional roll without a force measuring device, without the need for modifications to the support structure, etc. In the event of damage to the force measuring device, it is sufficient to replace the roller with an intact one, which process can generally be carried out simply and quickly, without having to carry out work on the strand guide frame that takes longer than a roller replacement.
Furthermore, this measurement is not local, but the same role can be used at different points in the strand guide.
An advantageous embodiment is characterized in that the sleeve has a length exceeding the spacing of the bearings provided in the axial direction and is supported on the axis by support collars arranged at its end regions, the bearings preferably being arranged at equal distances from one another from the support collars, as a result of which the Evaluation of the measurement results can be done particularly easily and accurately.
To protect the strain gauges, they are arranged on the inside of the sleeve.
A precise assignment of the force displays to the points at which they occur is possible by arranging a strain gauge in the area of each bearing.
The sleeve expediently extends from a holder arranged at one end of the roller jacket body to the holder arranged at the opposite end of the roller jacket body, the sleeve being arranged between the holders for absorbing thermal expansions with play extending in the longitudinal direction of the strand guide roller.
A particularly protected arrangement of the bearings and the strain gauges results from the fact that the ends of the sleeve each engage in a recess in a holder, the holders having ring collars which overlap the sleeve.

The invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing, which shows a partially cut multi-part strand guide roller.
With --1-- is a strand guide roller mounted in brackets --2--. The brackets --2-- are each in pockets --3-- of the strand guide frame --4--. The strand guide roller --1-- has a rigid axis --5--.
A sleeve --7-- surrounding the rigid axis --5-- forming a gap --6-- is arranged between two brackets --2--. These sleeves --7-- are each supported on the rigid axis --5-- by means of support collars --10-- arranged at their end regions --8, 9--.
On each sleeve --7--, a roller casing body --11-- is rotatably supported by means of two bearings --12, the sleeve --7-- having a longitudinal distance --13-of the bearings --12 - Exceeding length --14-- and extends from one at one end of the roll
EMI2.1
Furthermore, each sleeve --7-- is arranged with a play --15-- extending in the longitudinal direction of the strand guide roller -l- between two brackets --2-- and engages with their ends --8, 9-- in each case a recess --16-- a bracket --2--.
The brackets --2-- have the sleeve --7-- overlapping ring collars --17--, in which --12-- to protect the bearings against external influences on the roller casing body --11-- adjacent sealing rings - 18-- are arranged. The bearings --12-- are each in storage spaces --19--, which are at the ends of each
EMI2.2
with the same distances --20-- in the axial direction between each bearing --12-- and the closest support collar. This makes it possible for the sleeve to bend when the roller is subjected to a load.
To determine the forces acting on the strand guide roller-l from the strand, a strain gauge --22-- is provided on the inside --21-- of each sleeve --7-- in the area of each bearing --12--, whereby the The distances between the strain gauges and the neighboring support collars --10-- are the same and as large as the distances --20-- of the bearings --12-- from the support collars --10--. The strain gauges --22-- are connected to a measuring or display device by means of cables --24-- running in grooves --23-- of the rigid axis --5--.
The multi-supported strand guide roller --1-- is placed as a whole unit together with its holders --2-- in the pockets --3-- of the strand guide frame --4-- and put on
EMI2.3
can therefore be done within a short period of time. Likewise, due to the integration of the measuring device in the strand guide roller --1-- (whereby the outer dimensions of the strand guide roller correspond to those without a measuring device) any conventional strand guide roller can be exchanged for one with a measuring device, so that load measurements can be carried out at any point in the continuous caster and subsequent conversions can be carried out with little effort.
The invention is not limited to the exemplary embodiment shown, but can be modified in various ways. It can e.g. B. only one strain gauge --22-- can be provided per sleeve, which is then glued in the middle of the length of the sleeve --7--.
Furthermore, there is a free choice of arrangement of the support collars --10--, provided that there is only an axial distance between support collars --10-- and bearings --12--.
