Description
<Desc/Clms Page number 1>

The invention relates to a district heating pipe, especially for underground
Installation, with one or more internal, medium-flowable pipe (s) surrounded by a heat-insulating material and an outer jacket, the inner pipes, the thermal insulation and the outer jacket being flexible, the material of the inner pipes being plastic, which Thermal insulation consists of a winding and the outer jacket preferably has a corrugated tube shape, furthermore the thermal insulation consists of tube pieces made of plastic foam, the ends of which are provided on the one hand with spherical projections and on the other hand with hollow spherical caps, the adjacent ends of the tube pieces partially intermeshing (according to patent No. 378414).
The invention relates to a further development of thermal insulation by simplifying the application of the pipe sections to the inner pipe. According to the invention, this is achieved in that the pipe sections of the thermal insulation are longitudinally divided and the pipe section halves engage in the manner of tongue and groove.
A particularly simple handling results if the overlap of tongue and groove is less than the elastic deformability of the tube halves. In this case, the two pipe halves do not need to be pushed into each other, but a radial compression is sufficient to establish the connection between tongue and groove. This latching connection is sufficient to be able to apply the outer jacket in the form of a hose or the like. A separation of the two pipe halves is then prevented by the outer jacket. It is expedient to arrange the parting lines of adjacent pipe pieces displaced in the circumferential direction to one another when the pipe pieces are being applied.
The line pipes according to the invention have the great advantage that the heat insulation can be easily replaced when destroyed or when a branch line is attached.
It is also advantageous if the pipe sections of the heat insulation surround several inner pipes. Thermal insulation can therefore also be provided between these pipes, mostly supply and return lines, because these can be inserted in a simple manner.
The good flexibility of the pipeline as a whole is not impaired by the design of the thermal insulation according to the invention.
In the drawings, the subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment. 1 shows a longitudinal section through the thermal insulation and FIG. 2 shows an end view of a pipe section. The pipe sections labeled --1-- are divided lengthwise, so that there are two half-shells --2 and 3--. Each pipe section is provided with a spherical projection --4-- on one side and with a hollow spherical extension --5-- on the other side.
The longitudinal edges of the half-shells --2 and 3-- are provided with longitudinal projections --6 and 7--, in which the corresponding longitudinal grooves --8, 9-- engage
EMI1.1
between the tongue and groove are kept so small that the half-shells can be joined together by forces transverse to the plane of division without the elasticity of the shells being exceeded. The tongue and groove then form a snap-in connection.
